I just received a quote from my local Lotus dealer (Lamborghini of Charlotte) for my first annual service of around $1250. As a result, I will likely take the car to an independent shop for the first oil change.

However, I am getting the 'maintenance due' reminder every time I start up now (as it's due for the oil change). I'm not sure if the independent shop will know how to eliminate this message. Is there a way for us owners to reset the maintenance timer to eliminate this message on startup?

I had this pop up on my car after it was 8 months old. Only solution I could determine, was to take it to the Dealer and have them reset it. I argued it was a warranty issue, as it was only 8 months old had only 3000 miles on the clock, so the reminder had to be an error

I had my 1000 mile oil change done at a local dealer but obviously they didn't reset the service reminder. I had the warning pop up about 3 month later.

Per user manual US version:
reset_service.webp

however, it was the exclamation triangle blinked, didn't see the wrench symbol in the dash

Gotta love dealers. They told me only option was to go to them to get it reset. They also told me the same when drivers side window kept opening. Turned out that was wrong too
