That is in ROUGH shape. There is a blue one on copart that I actually looked at in person that sold for less than this and all it needed was a new rear bumper, diffuser, and exhaust valve controller.

Listed asking price is $48K OBO, meaning “or best offer” so salvage should sell for less. Will be interesting to see final sale price. The fact it’s selling as salvage generally means it’s “not economical to repair” so it’ll usually be used for parts only. Sad end to a nice car. Hope no one was hurt.

Pretty sure Lotus has a bad reputation with insurance companies, a tiny tap on an Elise requires replacement of the entire front clamshell.

That experience is probably passing on to the Emira, where cars with not too much damage are "totalled" because parts are too expensive and/or unavailable, and bodyshops don't want to work on the cars.

There will definitely be some "salvage" Emiras that could be a great deal for folks willing and able to do their own work.
