Seats too high

There does not seem to be a warranty issue when you take the seats out. I’ve had plenty of warranty work since fitting them and the only comment from Bell and Covill is that they wanted to stock them. I’m 100% certain that if you were to sit in the car with the B10XL’s in, you would never want the spongy ones back.
Do Bell & Colvill fit them Steve or do you pop over to Guildford to fit them?

I'm sure they would but it's really not that hard to do yourself. Probably the hardest part is unclipping the seat plugs by pushing in a little screwdriver and not doing your back in lifting out the OEM seats.
The resistor plugs can be bought from GRP.

Steve.... Do you know anyone in the states (maybe Florida even) that has your seats in the Emira?

Hell I would take your seat in ANY car at this point..

Sadly.. I have a terrible back and I definitely "relax" while I am seated with the seat position at almost 30+ degrees. It's just what my back needs so I am comfortable.

I have never sat in a race seat, or any aftermarket seat for that matter... so I am just wondering.

Just pondering an idea. I don't know anyone making a rail like this for seats.

But rather than the hinge in the seat itself (giving both recline and tilt forward for seat-back storage access).

What if the rear of the rail had a sort of 'lock lever' and the front attachment point had a pivot. That would allow you to unlock the rear, and tip the seat forward.

The internet is a wondrous place. Ask and you shall receive.
Obviously accessing these little levers seen in the video would be hard in the Emira with no access to the back of the seat, buuuut you could easily just modify the tabs to a pull bar or something that you can reach in, or just a link so pulling the one close to the door opens the other.

Not really needed for both seats since the storage area just isn't that big, but a pretty interesting option if applied to a standard rail set.

I actually just asked this question on the USA FB group today. I'm in South Florida and really wanna pull the trigger on these seats. I just can't justify buying them without sitting in them first.

Understandable, Our greatest challenge often feels like finding ways of giving the people the opportunity to sit in them.
We do the PRi show every year and display the seats there.
Titan sell our seats in Florida but tend to specialise in the B1/B8/B9 shape which has a straighter back for cars like the Nissan GTR. You would still feel the benefits of our shape albeit it not quite as wide as the B10 XL.

That's good to know. I actually have a GTR and I've taken several road trips in it and never had an issue. Took a road trip last month in the Emira and within an hour and half my lower back was killing me, had to order lumbar cushions to my hotel. This is actually the first time I've owned a car where the seats caused my lower back to hurt.

The OEM seats gave me a bad lower back on the first journey back from Lotus. Since putting the B10XL's in I've driven six hours and never had the slightest problem. If the individual vertebrae do not move independently and don't have pressure points, they don't hurt.

Have to try buckets before buying. They purposely put you in a position and keep you there. You don’t slouch or adjust anything. Usually comfortable but for the first time buyer they may not realize what a proper racing seating position is relative to casual driving. Better make sure you like it.
