Anyone else find the seats too hard, too flat and completely unsupportive?
After a recent three hour drive my sciatic was so painful I had to go get one of those old man pillows to sit on.
I feel like I sit on top of the seat rather than in it.

I keep trying to persuade my son to do a set in white leather.
please do it!!! I really wanna see this.. Maybe I could just do the drivers side and leave the passenger side stock (not sure how I feel about that though looks wise)..

But I really need the foldable seat for the storage behind my seats so keeping the passenger side stock might work for that part..

I'd be interested in seeing how this looks too (in Tan).
Make them electric and heated and jobs done :)
They can be heated but would need wiring in. It would be supplied as we supply them to Caterham. It might not be able to be done using the Lotus controls though.
The wires go through the composite cavity and come out of the base. Because the holes go through the seat, the panels must be fitted at the factory. It's not really a retro fit job.
As for electric adjustment, that would make them as heavy as the originals. Of course I could design them using clockwork but I don't want to wind you up. :)

Just to clarify: I would like to see what a combination of the B10 and OEM seats would look like. Does anyone have a photo of an Emira with only the driver side seat replaced?
I don't think replacing both seats would make sense in my garage, where I need to get in and out of the car from the passenger side.

It should be pretty easy to shame your son to do a set in white leather. I mean, you gave him his last name. Just point to the name on the seats and remind him where it all started!
And where it might end :)
The customer is always right.
Don't worry, I am working on it. This problem occurs when your son is a young male version of your wife.

I appreciate the effort. :)

I would probably only do the drivers seat even thought the weight savings of 2 seats is considerable.

I find the seats very comfortable. I used to get pain in the lumber region of my back after driving my GT4 (fitted with “comfort seats”) for around an hour. No such problems with my Emira. I guess we’re not all built the same!

The seats need to be professionally fixed. They open the leather stitching, add the padding material, and close them back. It takes 1 day and the cost is minimal. After one can drive thousands of kilometres without lower back pain as in my case ;)

PS. The Tillett seats are probably closer to what the Exige 380 Cup had as they sit lower.

Any chance someone can recommend an upholstery shop in Portland, OR? Those B10's don't look comfy for my boney bottom :D
