So I got to take a test drive.... :)

The Alpine A110 R may out perform the Emira...but in the "looks department" there's no comparison IMO. Depends where your focus is. Having yet to test drive an Emira, I'm hoping it'll have the best of both worlds: good performance combined with head-turning looks.
I agree. The A110 R is not a looker. And power/weight is pretty close. I’m holding out for the Lotus.

Just drove the Emira again. Manage to not red line it but got to 90 mph plus and ran out of road. Did not take a lot of road to get to that speed.
Wheel gap compared to Evora
Evora front 2 fingers
Emira front just shy of 3 fingers
Evora rear 1 finger (just)
Emira 2 fingers
Pictures are rear. Messed up on front pictures.
Seat
Evora more sport seat and lower than Emira but inmho not a deal breaker at all
Emira seat more plush and softer.
Emira easier to get out of
Evora a little quicker on acceleration, Emira more than adequate acceleration
Both cars are not drag racers.

None of the above is meant to criticize just a simple personal comparison
Can’t wait to get my Emira and keeping the Evora as well.

EDIT: 2021 Evora GT
Michelin Sport Cup
Front 245/35 19 inch
Rear 295/30 20 inch

Yep the twin turbos are nice, as they pretty much eliminate that turbo lag. My favorite is NA but a SC is ok on a moderately powered car. I hated it on the Callaway. No driving fun, just hang on for dear life and LOTS of throttle modulation!
Agreed. The C7 Z06 and any of the supercharged Dodge products are blunt instruments. Fun for shredding pavement and rear rubber but not much else. Remove the superchargers and now you have completely different cars. And IMHO, the NA C7 at 3400 lbs with 460/460 (and the manual) is about the right blend of hooligan and precision.

Yep I kept my c6Z for 75k FUN miles!!! I got horny for hp and fixed it up to the point I was constantly having issues. Not the car's fault, I own the blame. It was a wonderful road tripper, very comfortable and I don't think I ever used more than 75% of it's capability. 165mph on the deserted hwy was plenty fast for me as the road started to crown and thought of what heaven must be like took my foot off the gas as she was still pulling eagerly in 5th gear...:)

I don’t know why people keep putting black pack on Seneca - it looks awesome with the matching roof! Nimbus is gorgeous too, almost regret switching.

Agreed but it's all personal preference. I opted for black pack on my Seneca. I think it looks sleeker and lower. But it also has to do with wheels. Solid blue with full silvers IMO is a beautiful and bright combo, but I like how the black pack flows with the black and diamond wheels. Either way it's one of the most beautiful vehicles ever made IMO.. Just wearing different dresses. 😉

The roof on the Evora was probably my least favorite feature, it just looks disjoint and slapdash. In contrast the Emira’s roof flows gorgeously into the rest of the car so it’d be a shame to hide it! :p

Thanks for the useful info. Could you clarify which Evora variant you're comparing it to - ideally as an edit in the original post. The Evora NA, S, 400, GT410 (US GT) and GT430 have different suspension setups and wheel sizes, which may be relevant to this comparison. Thanks!

As another reference, this is the spacing on my stock 2021 Evora GT (US) with half a tank of gas.

Front - somewhere between 6/8 or 7/8 inch. Definitely less than 1 inch.

Rear - thickness of a fine tip Sharpie, or less than 1/2 inch. I couldn’t stick my finger all the way.

@Shyatic any other findings from your second drive? Didn't see another post so thought I'd ask.

How does the ride and feel of the Emira compare to the Evora GT? I really enjoyed the analog, raw feel of the Evora and am hoping they don’t neuter it in the Emira.

I had the same thought when Nissan ruined the 350z. Changing that p51 cockpit roofline and squaring everything up. Also the reason I don't like the Nissan GTR, shitty roofline! I was looking at the side view of the Emira and noticed (finally) the "cokebottle" lines that Corvette was famous for. Yeah the Emira is a great looking car!

I have to ask how old you are? I ask because when I was a teenager a Mustang GT would do 0-60 in 6.5 seconds and everyone thought that was fast. Now cars are a lot faster but apparently not enough for some.
Quite old, but not living in the past. Its 2022, I believe 4,3 is adequate for the type of car Emira is. I actually had a range of cars with similar performance. I believe R230 SL55AMG was 4,5 and that was believed to be wicked fast, bu that was almost 20 years ago. B7 RS5 was 4,3 from a rocket 4,2 FSI, but that was over 10 years ago. I mean it wouldnt hurt if the Emira was a bit faster, would it ;)

Indeed. I bet some car magazine does a sub 4 second hero run in the I4 to make some egos feel better. (Including mine)

imo the Evora GT is a more raw drive compared to the Emira. If you do not own an Evroa you will not know the different feel. If you own one then Emira will feel somewhat neutered.

Same applies down the chain to the Elise/Exige. And then we simply get a go kart.

It's all relative. If one suffers from FOMO, reads every review out there and want instant gratification...Emira seems not to be the best choice.

When do we expect the write-up from the two gents who received the grand tour of the factory?
