Hello,
does anyone have the following problem:
When the brakes are warm, the steering wheel starts to shake. But this stops again when the brake cools down. Tomorrow I'll drive the Nordschleife and see what it's like when the brakes get really hot

That doesn't sound safe at all, especially on the track, and the Nordschleife of all places!

Yes, I think so too and I probably won't drive the NOS either. The guys from Komotec have their company on the Ring. I'll probably ask them

That is very strange. I can't imagine that the rotors warp only when hot. They usually warp over time and stay that way hot or cold.

Are they shaking during braking? Or shaking all the time after the brakes are warm?

They are shaking only when they are warm. After cooling down, they are nearly normal.

Sounds like pad deposits to me -- have you taken it to the track before?

I have an Audi S5 that I cooked my discs - and they warped.

You 'can' have them skimmed at a machine shop - but I wouldn't bother.

It's new discs I'm afraid - once they're gone, they go worse when hot, and better when cold.

Looks like you've got them excessively hot at some point.

I drove hard round some country roads in my S5 when they had already warped a little, they got that hot, and warped even further, that my brakes were literally banging under load.

Replaced the discs, (for about £100) and problem gone).

I wouldn't expect the Emira discs to be £100 mind you...
