Dear all,

I purchased a new Emira I4. After my first ride from the garage to my home (45 minutes) and shutting down the engine a strange sound comes from the front of the car.
It last almoust 30 minutes. Same thing after the second ride so I returned to the garage but they don't find anything abnormal.
When I arrive at my home same thing again.
Can anyone tell what this could be?

Thanks

Is it possible it's a cooling fan? Harry's I4 video included him commenting on the fan whirring way after the car was shut off.

mine does that once in a while. Goes away when you lock the car

Just picked up my car new today and it’s doing the same thing, is this normal ? What is it ? Can it drain the battery ?
Anyone else know

You can replicate this by turning on the ignition by holding the start button for 10 seconds without your foot on the brake or clutch. Its the cooling fans for the headlights I think. Mine does it too. Sounds like the bearings are gone in the fans on both sides.

Yeah mine does the same. I seem to remember my Giulietta did it as well.

First note of fans for headlights; can this be verified? Thanks.........

There is a big fan inside of it, just to cool down your radiator. It's a good stuff.

If you turn your ignition on so the fans activate, and then walk to the front of the car you can hear very clearly there is a seperate small fan right behind each headlight.

I never heard of headlight fans. Assumed LED lights would generate less head than the old halogen lights. However, a quick Google search confirms this is a thing. You learn something new everyday.

They do, but they also throw out a LOT more light. Modern high power LEDs produce a tonne of heat.

Learn something every day! So Emira has fan led headlights? I would think fan only active when headlights on? otherwise no heat being generated?
