Switch on the sideview mirror

I was cleaning my car last night, when I just happened to wipe all around the sideview mirror on the right side of the car, and to my surprise, there's a switch button underneath it! There isn't one on the left sideview mirror, only the right side. Does anybody have any idea what this is for?

uhhh what's the app? I thought they banned all OBD readers from car play. Sideloaded?

OBD fusion added carplay functionality earlier this year. Has some good data points if you like to geek out. Still playing with the screen configurations to see what is most useful. I only added ambient temp to the screen because it was easier to see on the main screen while holding a bag of ice on the mirror....
