Maybe everyone should just start clicking the "Report" button every time a political statement is made. Deluge the moderators with reports to the point that Closing the thread is the easier option for them

IMO everyone on this thread has been pretty civil other than Eagle7's constant pushing of religion and conspiracy theories into this thread. Obvious trolling, but other than that I think there has been solid, civil discussion.

Issue with that statement, is that it then brings out others to counter what has been stated and so the snowball builds.
There were a few on each side, although one side did seem to be more numerous than the other

Unless everyone draws a line and moves on, I still think the best option is to close this one down and hope no one decides to move the whole thing to a new/different thread

The toxicity from a politics sub forum will spill over to the rest of the forum, so I don't recommend creating a politics sub forum. Let's keep this thread open and focused on the impact of the tariff situation.

I think 95% of the discussions have been on topic and civil. One poster in particular has been quite toxic and has hijacked an otherwise useful discussion.
