I already got the seat side trim strip installed (visible in the photo, link below photo for those that still need it), thank you for the tip! Next item on my list is how to protect the carpet over the threshold. On McLaren they cover it in carbon fiber, so playing with different options. I tried carbon fiber tape, but the texture of the carpet makes it look tacky. I am thinking of wrapping a thin sheet of ABS with carbon fiber, as I have done that with other applications and the ABS is super easy to work with. Anyone else have ideas?

Someone makes a dry carbon sill cover for the Emira. You can find it on eBay/aliexpress. Kind of pricy though.

$2000? That is just stupid. I used to work in mfg including carbon fiber/kevlar.

I am going to try my DIY solution as it could be fun. Plan will be a sheet of ABS that is wrapped in matte carbon fiber. If I can make them look legit and not too labor intensive, I figure I could sell them for probably $800 for the pair. If anyone is interested ping me and I'll share some photos once I have them installed.

If you can make carbon sill covers for $800 a pair, I don't think you'll be able to build them fast enough to keep up to orders.

I would love a pair!

@boisecrawfords I've thought about this but worried about the quality. I wrapped an ABS splitter with CF and spent a couple days with layering resin and then 2k clear. It looks good enough but not where I would sell them. If you have experience in this space and if legit then I'm game
