Hello to all. My local tire shop today, can't find which TPMS sensor works with Emira rims. They showed me their new-this-year advanced Autel OBD2 scanner which allows them to search various markets for a correct part, but even searching the European market lists nothing for the Emira, regardless of the input year.

I would have ordered the sensors at the same time as the rims from Aerie, had my tire shop not previously told me they could source the sensors locally, w/o problem.

1. Searching the Forum, I found a post by whupwhup mentioning his dealer scanned the OEM sensors on his Emira and determined that sensors for the Toyota Supra GR and Mercedes S class, were a match for the Emira. Can anyone confirm that's correct?

2. A Google search shows Monkeywrenchracing selling TPMS sensors, which they say work for the Emira and the Elise and Exige. Can anyone confirm that's correct?

3. Finally, assuming any of these others are compatible, do they work with the Emira w/o having to reprogram them?

Any help appreciated, before I bite the bullet and purchase from GRP using (gulp) US dollars.

The TPMS is made by Schrader, part number 8893103964. It's also used by BMW, which explains why it's in the Supra.

Just to add, this part number is custom for Lotus - so there is no guarantee that other similar looking parts for BMW will also work, or work optimally in the same application.

My personal thanks to Nova, especially for such a quick answer. My local dealer told me that US$72 is a reasonable price for an Emira TPMS sensor, so I called Greg (GRP) and ordered/paid for a set. Greg told me they're OEM, preprogrammed, and will be immediately recognized by the car.

For any one interested, Schrader lists the Emira TPMS sensor as "part number 3296" and "OE Sensor PN 8893103964". This is for the Emira only; Schrader doesn't say (for example) it works for the Elise and Exige.

I called the parts department of one of the local BMW dealerships. He confirmed they sell 433 MHz TPMS sensors made in the UK, but no where on the box, does it list any of the Schrader numbers. It only has a BMW part number. And its price: Can.$222 + tax, each (wow). Pretty expensive...especially for something that may not work with an Emira.

Yea, @GRP is the best source for the OEM units.
