I received this message from scorpion tracker this morning;

We faced some issues in our recent communication attempt with your tracker, we appreciate this could be due to the vehicle not being used in which case please reply to notify us of this, however, if the vehicle has been used in the last 14 days, there may be a possible concern that requires attention.


Your immediate support would make a big difference in resolving this matter swiftly and smoothly. When convenient please can you run your vehicle outside for 5-10 minutes and then reply to this email providing the date you have completed this so we can diagnose if there are any issues that need addressing.


My car is in the garage now (weather) . Last driven 12/10. Not sure if I can drive it but I can run idle in my drive way for 5-10 minutes. Has anyone gotten this message before?

No, I did get a prompt call when I disconnected the battery to do some stuff in the car.

I'm guessing they are not "seeing" your car, and they want you to move it somewhere it will show up to GPS. Maybe the driveway works, but creeping along your street probably better.

Sent this email to Scorpion and dealership and received this response from lotus dealership


In regard to the email from Lotus about the Scorpion tracker - it looks like they just want to ensure the system is functioning as intended. This is a new partnership for them in this vehicle, and it seems to be just a courtesy email in case there is a malfunction. As you've had it in storage for the winter, there should be no concern but if you do have time to idle the vehicle outside, that may be helpful. Otherwise, your communication that it has been in storage seems sufficient”

Took it for a drive today. All good, no issues
