UK configurator has updated

Just noticed the configurator has updated and no longer has the ‘first edition’ car.

The First edition spec I got now prices at over £107k

Few differences I noticed:

New badge colours

New wheel options

New roof lining options

New black pack options

New pedal options

KEF audio now an option

Exposed gear linkage now an option

Heated seat an option

Premium floor mats an option

Convenience pack option (parking sensors/ memory seats / dimming mirrors)

Tracker price increased

Hmm, no matter what I do it still keeps trying to configure a first edition that results in an error.
Edit: got in using a different browser!

At £117K on the road, I dont see them selling many. Thats a ludicrous price for a Lotus. No one in their right mind will pay that amount for a car, that then has the type of support, spares availability and customer service that Lotus currently provides.

Looks like you can’t have tour suspension if you want the drivers pack.

People rarely fully spec cars.

Hmm. This is similar to the base configurator in the US but slightly different.

In the US the open gear box is the only choice for manuals and the closed is the only choice for autos. Heated seats are standard. Convenience package is standard. The rest seems in line.

For pricing comparison I ordered a nimbus over red with essentially the same equipment as the first edition albeit with the new "extended lower black pack" and the US MSRP is $109,550 This doesn't include destination charges of $2350 so all in before taxes I'm at $111,900. Also as a point in the US the Scorpion tracker is a $690 option.

The drivers pack is standard equipment and touring is still available as a no cost option. I have it on my build sheet. Funny enough for awhile our configurator didn't allow it but they corrected it at some point. They still dont show pricing on the configurator but the price list is readily available. I uploaded it to the forum last year.

EDIT: I made my twin on the UK site and it came to £106,455.00 which is roughly $135,349 right now. That includes taxes though. If you add my estimated taxes for me I'm at around $121,125. Both those numbers exclude registration costs I think.

Just did my spec on UK config and it comes out to $196,000 CAD - Our dollar certainly has taken a big hit against the pound. I think there will be a further price bump on the US and CAD configurators once they are updated.

This seems to me to be a mistake.
The V6 First Edition was £84k list (iirc) before this update.
To go to £92k for a base edition without the FE options is madness.
£72k would make more sense.
But, it is Lotus so 🤷‍♂️

All those low-mileage orphaned cars will suddenly be very attractive if that’s the correct new price.

And it makes the £76k I paid for mine two years ago look an absolute bargain!

An I4 FE equivalent is now circa £95k on the road. Essentially £11k for a 40hp tune!

I'm fairly gobsmacked tbh. This is over £10k more than a similarly specced Cayman GTS. I didn't even want to run the comparison with a Porsche four-pot.
