Seemed like something to try -- sure brings some pop to an otherwise bland looking area.

You would think it would reflect off the windshield and create a phantom road centerline that doesn't exist.

I like it. Agree with cdn_alien, does it cause a distracting reflection?

I like how it breaks up the lines of the dash a bit while adding some interest.

I would also worry about an annoying and distracting reflection…even more so on track.

Looks nice and clean. If I were going to do it I'd want something fabricated, not tape because it's going to get gummy in the sun, and matte as possible to prevent reflections.

So here's the result --- I drove the car for 3 hrs yesterday - nice sunny day. Yes, there was a reflection in the windscreen of the tape at times, but no it didn't bother or distract me whatsoever, in fact most of the time I didn't remember it was there. FWIW, this strip of 1/2" tape is not at all super stuck down or gummy - it peels right off if needed. As for 'venting?' of the dash, I'm not so sure about that.

Now if you pulled the grille out and painted it...
You could prob use a brush or a paint pen and wouldn’t have to take the grill out. Just mask everything around carefully. I don’t think I’d do it though because the reflection would be a little distracting for me.
