USA CARB stickers available now so Emiras should get delivered soon

    Featured
Hello Lotus Emira members in the USA

At the Dallas location, CARB stickers have arrived, and they are placing them under the hood supposedly, therefore, your Emira's should be delivered soon (my guess is 1-2 weeks across the nation), for those that are lucky enough to have their cars in the USA as the first 500 units shipped per Lotus (or are on the way once CARB stickers done).

Please don't say unbearable.
I am taking it as a positive!

Essentially, we have a concrete set of dates, from the fed, for the timeline of when they will officially sign-off on it. We have something solid to stand on, instead of the over promising and under delivering that Lotus has been known for lately. This news makes me feel much better about the whole thing.

I will say more as soon as they allow me to. Right now my hands are tied on written disclosure, unfortunately.

Thank you. Can't wait until your hands become untied either tomorrow or this week so you can update us.
I hope to pick up my Lotus first week of February if CARB approved this week.

We wanted to share an important update on the Emira.

We’re waiting on CARB approval for full homologation before we can deliver Lotus Emira Cars. Lotus was hoping to have this completed in the first few weeks of the new year, but unfortunately this is taking longer than anticipated. We have been informed by CARB that we can now expect the process to be completed between February 12 and March 13, 2024. We will continue to ensure a clear line of communication to keep you updated every step of the way.

They have started delivering vehicles to the US, so that as soon as we have received full homologation, we’ll be able to get you in your cars as quickly as possible.

We want you to know that we are doing everything that we can to speed up the process and we will continue to share further information on timings.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and your continued loyalty to the Lotus brand. If you have any questions about your order, please reach out to your certified Lotus dealer.

Thanks Bear - you're a legend (honestly)!

Now, anyone have their Lotus decoder available so we can go word by word (perhaps even prefix, root, suffix analysis) through this scripted message from Lotus? Anyone see a code in here that reveals some illuminati reference?

Thank you Bear. Appreciate the timeline, February 12 and March 13, 2024. I know exactly when it will be now, since I plan to be on vacation going skiing a few days during this time frame (2 separate 4-5 days)... that will be the day CARB gets approved and then I will have to wait until I arrive back :)

Looks like it will be February 12 and March 13, 2024 timeframe per Bear at Lotus!

"continue"? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I'm looking forward to hearing what excuse Lotus uses when they miss the new deadline. I'll take "increased maritime insurance rates as a result of geopolitical instability".

You are all very welcome! I will try my best to keep everyone informed as we go too.

My goal is to take Lotus New London from a small time shop to the best Lotus Dealer we can be. I saw a gap in Lotus USA communication and hoped to be able to at fill it a bit, at least for one forum. Too bad their communication to us dealers is next to null. I constantly have to pry to even get an inkling of a whisper of what is happening. But as I continually push for transparency, they do seem to be catching on, slowly. ;)

Has Lotus said the reason was they weren't approved in January as they claimed it would be? What is the basis for believing this time that CARB will be signed off in the new timeframe and not another delay.
Not that Lotus may have actually told you any of that.

If nothing happens by March 14th I'll assuming it's just more Lotus BS.
If that's the case I'll be moving on to an MC20. The value on those things are dropping like the Indians Jones boulder.

They said that they "expected" to have it by the end of January. But now they have an actual date range for inspection, given to them by the Fed.

I just hope that once it is inspected it is an immediate sign-off for it, as they (Lotus) has implied.

I've been cross shopping the MC20 as well. They don't seem to be selling, especially at the price dealers want. Price should be lower than they currently are. I think Maserati has the worst depreciation of all the luxury/exotic brands.

I stopped by the local Maserati dealer yesterday afternoon.
Dealers have $60k in incentives on new MC20s!
And pre-owns are now into the 180s

imagine what the very first MC20 owners feel like spending 260k ish
