Rear wheel ports

I would be interested. @Aerie, i have messaged you on WhatsApp as well but if someone is collecting names of interested parties then you can include me.
I am wondering if carbon would show less dirt or damage compared to the gloss black? I would PPF either but wondering if anyone has an opinion. @Aerie, what do you think is the best finish for this part, given its location behind the rear wheels.

Looks like we're a go to manufacture with Aeries for a Gloss Black port. They do require a minimum order to get started. Never done one of these group orders before, so any guidance from experienced members is appreciated.
IMO Ideally Aeries could put a 'coming soon' on their site with a purchase/checkout option....so we don't have to have a middle man.

1) BLUEMIRA

2) Myself

Please add you yourself to the list if you're interested.
Thanks

I might be interested, but would like to see them on a car before committing.

We petty think that the carbon fiber material is the best option, if gloss black world be showing dirt or damage at the future we not guarantee.

I am fine with carbon as well. I have several pieces from you in carbon including rear spoiler and diffuser fin extensions so things will match. Let us know if you can manufacture.

depending on volume pricing i might buy a dozen.
That will certainly get us over the min order for Aeries. Waiting for them to send pricing, fabrication time is a bit less than a month.

Suspect pricing will be the same or less than Aeries Carbon ports they already sell $663 perhaps less for the black fiberglass ports... (Open ports have less material)

Thanks for sending the video.. Never seen this one before.. I like a LOT of what he has to say, but hate the rounded oval taillight...

That being said.. I would love GLOSS black, not a carbon guy..

Side note: I LOVE the quad exhausts!!!

Our first mould already done ✅and the picture already email to @Emira Fan , better let him to post on the forum. ❤️❤️

Hi @Aerie. Are these same as the ones you sent me through WhatsApp?

Thanks Aeries for images of the first run of the molds of the rear ports without vents.
They look great to me !

I'm sure other members weight in as well.

Are you able to create a page on your portal to take 'Pre-Orders' so I don't have manage collecting payments from the Forum members; to meet the production run minimum?

Thanks again.

Hey Emira Fan. I have been chatting with @Aerie on WhatsApp and they are hoping we can arrange a group but on the forums like they did for engine surround. I can send you our correspondence. He is suggesting we create a new post and label as such with "group buy". He is going to sleep now.

A discussion in the lotus discord the other week has lead me to think this isn’t the best idea. Someone posted a photo of the vent outside the car, part of the vent removes high pressure from the wheel well, but the other part of the vent draws like a straw into the bumper area. Our thought is that airflow from the wheel well vent passes over the straw like ports and draws out trapped pressure from the bumper area. If that theory is correct this modification would negate that benefit.

Agreed. I appreciate people want to modify their cars and make them their own, but a lot of development has gone into the aerodynamics. I’m surprised how many people want to tweak the suspension away from what Gavin and the team have done as well.

Yes, it appears the other side of the wheel well liner is the back of the engine bay. These small slits may help pull some air from engine bay, hard to say.
