Beware Tire Repair, or How to Deflate an Anniversary

This. Anytime I travel any significant distance I make sure I have a repair kit (plug type, obviously) and inflator. It works great for the occasional screw or nail. Very easy to repair as well and it will give you time to figure out if you need an all new tire or the patch will suffice.

Is this foam trim supposed to be on the hood?

I had the exact same issue after a few drives. The end on the foam piece just did not stick like it should. A very small piece of 3m automotive tape fixed the issue.

Lotus Emira DIY jacking points / under body view

When you put the quickjacks sideways, where you on the front jacking pads or on the frame rail itself? In the past I have used my quickjacks sideways on other cars with no issue, but with my Emira, my quickjacks are too long to fit in between the front tires in order to get to the front jacking...

Who has Milltek's Active Controller Installed?

Thanks for posting this. I installed the Milltek controller a few weeks ago and programmed it according to Milltek (which as stated above is wrong). After reading this I did some testing and 1 is open, 2 is OEM, and 3 is closed (at least on my unit). I started the car, and in tour mode button...

What did you do to your Emira today?

Agreed. I switched out to EBD red stuff primarily to cut down on the brake dust. Feel is about the same with normal driving. No plans right now to track, but if that changes I will most likely drop the stock pads back in to use up and then switch out to a more aggressive track pad. Would...

What did you do to your Emira today?

Spent a bit of time yesterday installing EBC Red Stuff brake pads. Big thanks to @kitkat for sharing his experience changing out the pads. Took my time and removed the reservoir cap to ensure I could fully retract the calipers to fit the new brake pads in. The rear pads were very easy, they...

    Cold start stalling

Just a quick update, as I have been monitoring the fuel rail pressure prior to unlocking or opening the car after it has been sitting. The short of it is that there is no rhyme or reason. I just went out of town for a week and upon returning, the fuel rail pressure was in the high 40's and the...

    Cold start stalling

I have had the cold start issue happen twice to me. The first time I have no idea what the conditions were and everything was fine after I turned the car off and then restarted. Yesterday, I jumped in the car, put the car into neutral (not using the clutch) placed my foot on the brake, and...

    Availability Gaiter Kit inboard, A132D6008S

Are you referring to the shift boot only? I had one made to match my interior (alcantara with yellow stitch). Not sure if that is the only piece you need. Question I also have, is if it is only the gaiter(shift boot) did the original fail?

Anyone bleed their own brakes on their Emira?

I went out and checked; the "european" spec cap fits. This was the first time I had opened up the front hatch and I was looking for an excuse to do so. Also gives me a chance to get in and clean it up a bit. This is the link I used years ago to purchase the adapter: https://a.co/d/hPL5HG6

Anyone bleed their own brakes on their Emira?

I have the motive european cap (used it for the "M" cars), I will try to get out a bit later to see if it fits. I am curious as well.
