Are rear Emira OEM wheels really ET54mm??

These are the alignments when you start with ET64 (minus 12 for spacers). Poking out 13mm more than before.

Lowering question for GRP (and any others)

The Eventuri Emira has rather sunken looking wheels when you see it on video(IMO). The Emira is fine at standard height with stock offset, but definitely looks better with some spacers, once lowered.

12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

I used the lowering kit from Greg and maxed it out at 25mm. Then I installed the 10mm spacers which yes, provided a horrible vibration and I immediately removed them. But while I had both items on the car, I did feel both front/rear needed at least the 12mm spacer. I am looking forward to...

    Spacers anybody?

I just ordered these from the link below. They're made by PCD, a brand that I have purchased in the past. I have another version of PCD spacers currently on my Emira and I never experienced any vibration. The reason I'm switching to these new ones, is mainly because they are lighter weight. I...

Do you notice a ticking noise during acceleration?

For anyone who has done the shifter boot delete, you can literally stick your hand in and touch/feel/adjust the way the shifter cable is sitting to make the rattling stop. It's the end links for the cables hitting the bracket they attach at. The cable just "rotates" slightly and they touch. A...

    Best Wheel Spec for Emira?

I've read some posts about the spacers, it seems that proper spacers are 10mm front and 12mm rear. Adding the OEM wheel spec, and with larger rim width, I got this "optimum wheel spec" FRONT: 9J X ET53 (proper for 245/255 tires) REAR: 11J X ET54 (proper for 295/305 tires) Any thoughts or...

12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

I run the 10mm spacers and the lowering kit from Gregs race parts but have vibration and look forward to get their new 12mm spacers to get rid of that.

    Wheel shimmy

No spacers but above sixty or seventy a decent amount of shimmy. Is this road feel or an imbalanced wheel?

12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

Make sure there’s no debris or rust buildup on the hub mounting surface or the lip of the hub. Start pattern mounting but use two sets of torque values — a lower one to center and then a final one to torque to official spec.

Free Lowering with factory setting VS. GRP lowering kit

Can’t notice any difference in ride quality. It was already firm and a little too hard on crap roads, it’s still the same IMO. Spacers are supposed to slightly soften the ride and I think I noticed that, but it could be in my head. 2 old pics before 12mm spacers + suspension drop and 2 after.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR!!! PLEASE HELP

Were the vibrations there before the spacers and lowering sleeves is the main question. If not something was probably not done correctly.

    10mm hubcentric spacers

I would start with what Kitkat has mentioned above. Verify all surfaces are clean or clean them well and reinstall. The hubcentric spacers should have no chance of vibration, if this started out of the blue after running them for a month or two it may be something wheel weight related.

Just following up GRP has his 12mm spacers in.

What did you do to your Emira today?

Yes, I would use longer bolts for all spacers. For 12mm spacers you’ll need 12mm longer bolts. OEM bolt length is 30mm.

Lowering question for GRP (and any others)

You can do 15-20mm max in the rear before the locknut hits the rear axle boots. I’d stay around 15mm to be safe myself. Front spacers that are hub centric are fine so long as you provide a nice clean mating surface for both the hub and the wheel, but that is true for any interface that rotates.

    Spacers anybody?

You can go as much as 15 in the front and 12 in the back if you lowered, if not 12 is the safest bet for both front and rear. Mine is lowered with a 2 fingers gap and 12 all around. Pretty similar to the demo on the configurator.

    Spacers anybody?

does anyone know if there are 5mm or 10mm spacers that are also hub centric? I know the 12mms are hub centric, but I don't want the wheels out that wide.

    Emira Turbo exhausts

...on the pops and bangs disappear.... but other than that I haven't noticed a decrease in the actual cars performance. I did receive the O2 spacers today, so I will fit and test over the weekend, and come back to you, with hopefully great results. The exhaust sounds crazy when the code isn't...

Because I already have 10mm spacers and only want the 1 set for the rear tires.

    Does anyone have GRPs Spacers?

As @Porter mentioned with 10mm spacers you do lose the "spigot" for hanging the wheel on during install so some extra care has to be taken when tightening things up. With that said we have found that is not something a lot of guys have the patience for so we are going to start offering 12mm...

12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

Fitted the 12mm spacers from GRP and was concerned they may be too wide. They arent, Just right. I haven't lowered the car.....yet but would only help to improve the overall look and stance. I changed to the Continental Sportcontact 7's at the same time.

    📓 Journals Speedy Emira Build

now THIS is how the car should have looked stance wise from Lotus.. This is so sweet man.. I see so many other cars that have the GRP 12mm spacers and the 15mm lower kit as well and the stance does NOT look like this at all.. Wondering what is different here....

Lowering question for GRP (and any others)

Do we know how low we can set the oem springs? Also, I tend to stay away from front spacers as any slight vibration at the wheel and I'll lose my mind. Any vibes from grp?

Custom Wheels getting made - Flush with fender or not?

...where I would want to be.. Not sure I want to lower it at all, but if I did it looks like this would be ideal.. With 5/6mm spacers you have enough of the factory hub protruding that you don’t have to worry about centering.

    Aftermarket wheels for the Emira

I'll just +1 to this. I'd want the more aggressive offset built into the wheels, 10mm or so (I'm not ultra flush gang), instead of using spacers.

    Spacers anybody?

I don't, but since the spacers appear to be made by PCD, perhaps the best way is to contact them rather than the seller, Bonoss. I obtained my first order from them directly having e-mailed Charlotte at sales@pcdparts.co.uk . She was knowledgeable and very helpful. Here's the contact...

12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

I have hub centric spacers as well but it’s still easier than you think to not line them up 100% which can have an effect. The lining up tools are pretty cheap and as long as all faces are clean gets it perfect every time. My mate let me use his and I realised how easy it was to change a wheel.

12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

Here are some pics of the 10mm hubcentric spacers pics. I think the front on 10mm is Perfect.. I think 12mm would be better for the rear. I don't plan on dropping it, although after looking at it I think I might! SOO much money going into the car. ha Ryan G

    Spacers anybody?

It seems the general consensus is that 12 mm spacer would be the best option since it's hub centric. Going anything below that would have risks of vibration. But it will also stick out a little bit if not lowered.
