And while the Evora and the Emira share much in common, given the stunning exterior design and civilized interior accomodations of the Emira, I would suggest it’s not a surprise. ;)
I thought we were meeting at 8 AM at Rockwell's Bakery for the drive down from OC to the Northern Route starting point in Carlsbad which starts at 9 AM.
Covered in other threads (check out the Osmium Silver photo thread) but as an owner I can attest to a subtle blue tint, most notable when parked next to a standard silver or white car.
May I suggest the parking lot at the Outlets in San Clemente in front of Rockwell's Bakery and Cafe? It's where the Cars and Coffee is held every Saturday.
Side note: Definitely see the blue tint in the Osmium Silver. Notice it compared to the white trailer and building in the background across the street...
Gorilla brand carpet tape. The stuff they provide in the box was definitely not up to the task. Like any mats that are shipped in a box or tube, they need time to relax. Other than that, I very much like them.
Not even close to the wear bars front or rear. No obvious uneven wear as far as I can tell. Haven’t taken a gauge to them but I’ll have Vic give them a good look at my next service which should be soon (as soon as my calendar lightens up!).
10 month anniversary today (May 17, 2024 delivery to March 17, 2025) and sitting at 12,535 miles. Of course, many overseas buyers had a head start. Wondering if any U.S. drivers are ahead of me? I should hit 15k by May 17...absolutely love this thing!
Man, competition is fierce in this thread! I mean, I know the Emira doesn’t have a bad angle but the locations, composition and attention to detail are stunning!!
I met Guy Evans briefly a few months ago when he was visiting Shinoo and the team at InoKinetic. I was the only Emira in attendance at the monthly gathering. He mentioned he had had his own Emira for almost a year (in the UK). Given their long involvement with the Lotus community I would be...
Have a Model 3 Performance and a Lucid Air Touring (the Model 3 is about to be put on the market). The Emira certainly doesn't have the off the line torque you experience in an electric car but it makes wonderful noises and is really rewarding when you get the shifts right. Plenty fast for the...
I was thinking of ordering the pads from Hawk directly and having them installed during my next service. If there is a better source, I’m all ears. Any pushback from dealers about installing non-oem pads on the car? Warranty issues? Hate having to clean the wheels every three days (at 11,700 miles).
I definitely notice the blue tint. Parked next to a white or standard silver car you clearly see the bluish cast. See my photos earlier in the thread. Of course ambient light, camera sensors, screens, etc. will impact how you see it in photos. I like Nimbus too (would have been my first choice...
Yes, The Goodyears have maybe a quarter of an inch of rubber that stands proud of the rim itself. Hard to describe but it did save me when I was backing out with a curb on the passenger side of the car and I turned the wheel and could feel it rub against the curb. Thanks to the slight protrusion...
Did you experiment with the Nitrons on the full soft setting compared to the stock setting and then gradually firm things up to the level you preferred? Can you comment on how it felt on full soft compared to the stock touring?
Happy with touring. Happy with the Goodyears. Coming up on 11,000 miles. Might be interested in the Nitron Fast Road setup for weight savings, ride height adjustment (probably not much more than half an inch for me) and the ability to fine tune rebound damping for a little less bounce over stock...
Thanks KitKat, just the info was looking for.
We have a couple of compact Tumi Roller bags that are only 15.5" tall (17.5 inches wide, 25L capacity) so they fit on the shelf and butt up under the plastic rear window trim piece but they are 8.0" deep (a little less than most carry on bags at...
Congrats on the review. I agree with his observations. Any photos of the seats with the pads installed? How are you liking them with the pads? Any issues getting bags/luggage behind the seats? I assume the rails provide enough fore/aft adjustment to accommodate placing bags back there…
