Since this video I’ve received and installed the Tillett padding! Have been thoroughly enjoying the Emira.

Hadn’t realised that was yours! I watched it a few days ago. Mine is Magma with the upper black pack. I originally wanted the black wheels, but ended up with the silver ones. I’m not sure if I’ll keep them or get them sprayed black.

For me this is a spare set of black wheels and I’m going to be refinishing them to silver. Maybe a hand brushed raw aluminum and clear coat.

I saw his review a couple days ago and knew the owner had to be from the forum. Did he say anything about the manual shift feel with the short shifter? I don't think he mentions it in the review.

The short shifter might add a bit of vagueness to the neutral is what he suggested in the review. It hasn’t ever bothered me before.

Since this video I’ve received and installed the Tillett padding! Have been thoroughly enjoying the Emira.

I enjoyed that review. I think his reviews are some of the most interesting out there. Less generic car journalist comments and factoids. Seems more an authentic car enthusiast himself that buys, sells and drives most of the kinds of car he reviews so has honest feedback about the experience of driving them and some of the comparison points to other competitors.

I was kind of surprised at his conclusion given the very high benchmark the Cayman 4.0 sets. Your mods probably helped tilt in the Emira's favor, especially your seats. Of course, I would come to the same conclusion, but consider that a minority perspective. For most the 4.0 is easily the better choice. For some the Emira hands down.

Congrats on the review. I agree with his observations. Any photos of the seats with the pads installed? How are you liking them with the pads? Any issues getting bags/luggage behind the seats? I assume the rails provide enough fore/aft adjustment to accommodate placing bags back there…

- The pads are nice and add just a tiny bit of anti vibration in, they're very form fitting.
- I would say 33-34" waist is the maximum for the B10 with the padding in. If you're a 34" with padding I'd just go for the b10xl.
- While the space behind the seat increases, because they're fixed back, the space to get something back there is drastically decreased.
- I took a photo with the driver seat fully forward and the driver seat bully back with the passenger seat fully forward so you can get an idea of the gap.
- I recommend not getting these if you're trying to go on a road trip and want to put hard luggage back there, soft bags only.
- Sound in the cabin is drastically increased both from the engine AND the sound system, the stock seats soaked up a ton of noise.

We have a couple of compact Tumi Roller bags that are only 15.5" tall (17.5 inches wide, 25L capacity) so they fit on the shelf and butt up under the plastic rear window trim piece but they are 8.0" deep (a little less than most carry on bags at 9") and would need to squeeze between the seatbacks. I could imagine squeezing the first one in behind the passenger seat, then moving the driver's seat forward to allow us to slide the first bag from behind the passenger to behind the driver and then moving the driver's seat back again to allow the second bag to be placed behind the passenger seat. We have a soft bag and compact briefcase that we place on top of the roller bags with a camera bag that slots between them all in the middle (Canon R5 with the trinity 2.8L lenses ). With those tucked away we still have room for an international size carry on in the center of the trunk plus a full size duffel that slots in next to it with a couple of small soft bags on the opposite side. Will hope to come across someone here in SoCal that has these installed so we can try to squeeze one of the rollers in. Your seats look awesome.

Just noticed the CF surround where the aluminum trim is on the center console. Can you share the details? Is it a replacement piece or a wrap?

I've had roller bags behind my B10 XL seats. I put one seat forward one back and pass them through the middle. I'm not pretending it's as convenient but it's OK and the thinner back does create more space behind.

Yeah I took those photos to show it could be done that’s for sure. These seats have transformed the car for me — the stock seats were terrible.

Jubbal will be releasing a review as well — all i know is he wants a pair of seats too after driving my car

It’s vinyl, I had some scrap laying around and wanted to see if I like it or not before I order something.
