There are 2 non start issues I've experienced, the parking brake issue warning where the break pedal goes stiff (V6 Auto)
and the keys in cup holder issue.
Ive only had the parking brake issue warning once, I just locked the car came back 20 minutes later and I've never seen it again.
With...
It’s not a random theory it’s in the user manual lol
And it worked for me.
Anyone having this issue there is no harm in trying it.
Be good to get some feedback.
As mentioned in another thread and shown in the handbook this issue was saved for me by following the below....
When the remote control key is positioned by the back up reader in the front cup holder make sure that there are no car keys, metal objects or other electronic devices also ib the cup...
Hey
Mine was the 911 992 S and still a decent DD just not as good as the Emira the Porsche looks like the better DD all day long as the Emira does look like a weekend toy.
My Emira was touring yet its grip is still unbelievable and its softness over the 992 is much better.
The Porsche beats...
Trust me I've had both and the 992 has much more road noise and it doesn't grip the road like the Emira does, I've pushed and pushed my Emira in the wet and it doesn't budge, the 992 however slipped allover the place in the wet even in wet mode.
The 992 has to much powerful for what it is...
It really is a great daily driver I can vouch for that much better than the 911 992 I had before it.
Mine is a auto V6 `touring, low road noise and plenty of comfort, daily driving it was one of my worries and it has definitely tick that box.
Ive had mine for 8 months now had a couple of very minor issues and I must say what a car.
You guys in the US have a lot to look forward too, im sure you will get a better version of the car with a lot of the early bugs diminished.
I spoke to my local dealer who said Lotus are concentrating on other world markets and they expect to sell around 20 Emira’s in 2024, that’s one dealership but still not a lot of cars.
I also noticed most of the V6 autos have been snapped up, they are a lot rarer than the manual.
This might...
74 Emira’s are now 64 Emira’s on auto trader right now.
Clearly the flipper and rejection rush is over and with not many Emira’s getting delivered in the uk in 2024 I’m guessing there won’t be to many Emira’s on auto trader by the end of the summer.
Still a chance to grab a bargain and I...
I find when it doesn’t start I just lock the doors while I’m in the car wait until I hear the fuel cap lock as a time measure then wait a further 5 seconds foot in the brake press starter button works every time.
Proper pain but mine cures it self after driving on long trips then comes back...
I had this for a little while and my fix worked every time.....
So when you hear the quiet hum lock the door while your in the car wait 15 seconds then unlock wait 5 seconds then put your foot on the brake and press the start button, the car should start first time.
Funny thing is I had this...
If it was me and I didn’t already have an Emira I would definitely be looking to buy a stock new or nearly new car from a lotus dealer, it seems there are some REAL bargains to be had right now when you look at the cost of a brand new made to order car.
From what I’m hearing most uk dealers...
The Lotus finance calculator is still showing 56k after 24 months as the guaranteed future value with 6000mpa so I wouldn't pay to much attention to WBAC.
I bet if Lotus hadn't slapped another 10k on the price of the Emira you wouldn't see half the numbers that are on Autotrader.
Price hike = unaffordable finance = lots of cancelled orders.
If the price keeps falling there will be a lot more cancelled orders.
A vicious circle me thinks.
Ive had one engine management light come on after the car had a software update so reversed the update now no light at all.
In all honesty the car has been brilliant i'm so pleased with it.
If the Emira does go below 60k in the near future the my advice is buy one what a bargain.
All the hype over this car was down to the initial advertisement that the car was only 60k new.
Obviously Lotus fucked that right up.
It's all to do with finance and a used Emira ballon and interest rate is off the chart, but with the new price hike the new Emira's will stop selling, well here in the UK anyway then it will be back to the used cars and the market should settle.
I expect the Emira to stay well above 60k for a...
Putting the car up another 10k is probably the worst thing Lotus have done, on top of all the other bad decisions made its been a recipe for disaster. I think the long term it won't do to bad but short term we are going to see it fall at least another 5k to 10k.
As said above keep calm this...
TBF I can’t see properly but it looks awful in yellow just like the Eletre does.
I’ll be saving my next deposit for the Lotus mini SUV for the misses.
Anyone know the cost for emeya ?
Apparently in Latin Emeya means asshole 😂
Yeah I understand the law part and that's fine its just a personal opinion and I've been lucky enough to get a FE without ADAS.
ADAS has literally drove me around the bend in the past.
I certainly don't wanna hit Lotus with a stick as nearly 4 months in and not a single problem to report with...
Given the choice of ADSA or not I would opt out as I have had nothing but issues with previous cars I've had quality brands included.
seems ADSA on the Emira could just turn out to be another stick to batter Lotus with.
I think I can answer this....
When you open the boot to check the traffic light it should be green initially if it isn't then it needs charging.
If you don't start the car there will be an instant drain on the battery which tends to change the colour from green to amber/red pretty quickly and...
The Emira is a little shorter in length but a little wider than a 911 992 but what makes it feel smaller is that it is lower.
I'd put the Emira in the medium size car bracket.
Please drive the latest version of the V6 auto before judgment, @ 130.000 miles it looks as if you are referring to an older PDK gear box against an old slush box as you call them.
Yes you are right the PDK is superior of course it is but not by miles try the latest updated version.
Take it...
I can answer this for you as I have switched from a 911 992 PDK to a V6 auto box and I must say how impressed I am with it, is it as good probably not but with Lotus gearbox software update I can say I’m very impressed. The Emira is nearly as good when in auto mode but not as good when you’re on...
Probably.....
Wiper issue
airbag tether
software update
With it being a March car all the other stuff should be sorted.
Not sure if anyone else can add to this....
