  2. Trackspec Autosports in Fremont
Im picking it up Saturday to drive it to the PPF installer. I wont have it available for any fun till April 11th.

Looks like Lotus shipped as many Emiras as they possibly could before tariffs go into effect. 368 cars arrived between the 17th, 25th and 30th of March!
By VIN, looks like mine made it in on the 30th and cleared customs on the 31st.

Hope everyone gets their cars soon!

out of curiosity when was your order submission date? Mine was done Nov 20 2024, was told an April timeframe but havenā€™t heard anything from my dealership yet

I think my formal order was submitted on the 14th of Nov 2024?
I would have to look up the exact date but right around the same time as yours.

I just got the call from my dealer Monday afternoon that the car had cleared customs, and a few hours later he was able to supply the VIN. Before that, no one had any updates or info.

If you have a VIN, check out the thread from Nova (has a post on page 3 of this thread). Heā€™s compiled every known VIN to arrive to date. He just updated today with the March 30th boat.

The date on my build sheet from lotus was 9/21/24 and mine was on the 3/17 boat.

The first thing you should inquire on is your VIN. You probably have one by now. Check that VIN against Nova's list of what cars are on the boats to see if your car is stateside yet. My car took 13 days from Baltimore port to showing up at my dealer in SoCal.

Thatā€™s the thing, Iā€™ve been told they canā€™t provide a VIN, which is weird. Just radio silence. Good to know Iā€™m not the only one.

Same for me, no VIN, 11/18 build submission, so Iā€™m cautiously optimistic mine came in in the latest batch.

I was initially told ā€œno VIN or updatesā€ throughout March.

Went back and double checked and submission was approved by Lotus on 11/14.

Suddenly I had a new sales person (internal promotion), and the car is in port, cleared customs and VIN provided.

I told my dealer that I required the VIN so I can get insurance quotesā€¦. Company asked for it so they could start the process, but I wasnā€™t able to before I got the VIN on Monday.

Iā€™m nosy and reached out to Lotus of USA. They have my submission ID and are going to try to link it to a VIN, if it the car is indeed built.
How did you get a hold of Lotus USA. Ive reached out via the website and was directed back to my dealer for further info.

Ok, watched Trump and the tariffs....Great Britain was listed at 10% both ways on Trumps chart, so I can't imagine that 25% will be the number, only a 25% max if there already wasn't an Agreement for 10% as on his chart....unless 25% is for all auto imports no matter what with punishment to the auto industry........ I got my VIN this week, 20 builds some above what just arrived at end of March, I was originally an April May delivery....hope this all gets resolved with 10%, I can handle that to get a 2025 with my specs...and also hopeful Lotus doesn't pull the plug on my order due to this...

Called the customer service line and left a VM. They called me back and told me they were going to get in touch with the regional sales division and see what they know.

Unfortunately, my dealership did call me back, and from what they know, my car wasnā€™t on any of the recent ships, and they still canā€™t get me a VIN. Perhaps it would be the next one, weā€™ll never know. They also donā€™t know what exactly Lotus will do for cars that have already been manufactured. Perhaps theyā€™ll eat the cost, but more likely not.

The tariffs on the chart were for all goods but cars are still subject to 25% and parts are going to be tariffed 25% from select countries which we find out in May.

Ok I think I understand, so with the Lotus is this essentially the whole car?
Kind of but its also based off on the declared value at import which I do not think includes Lotus USA or dealer costs/profits. If Lotus chooses to pass the costs on to the buyer it should not result in a full 25% raise in MSRP.

Sorry to hear. Iā€™m hoping for an email or call that my car squeaked through, but as days pass it becomes less likely.
