Well I donā€™t even know how to begin.. Iā€™m shattered by the situation, a Kia picanto decided to try and prove a point and decided to push me to the rails while on a bend, I braked hard and the car spun hard, the front end of the car hit the concrete wall and I luckily managed to avoid any other hits as I 2 full spins (hit the wall at the first spin) and didnā€™t hit any other cars, of course he ran away and I unfortunately didnā€™t have a dash camā€¦ a cab saw everything and fingers crossed that his dash cam worked (as he told me itā€™s been causing problems).
This is the damage, luckily it doesnā€™t look too bad though all the airbags popped + there is a radiator leak, headlights are fine. Do you guys think itā€™s fixable ? As I know parts are really hard to come by right now, including airbags etc, it does run and drive, steering works and doesnā€™t rattle or anything, tomorrow Iā€™ll tow it to my mechanic hopefully it will be back on the road else itā€™s a 200Kā‚¬ brick šŸ˜žšŸ’”

Sorry to hear you have been a victim of others stupidity.
Damage to the front is fairly minor and fixable with parts supply the limiting factor.
Of more concern is airbags, a lot of the cost of repair will be on the interior.
Best of luck to you and hope itā€™s on the road again soon!

So sorry to see this happen to you. Hit and runs make my blood boil, especially since my mom had an incident 2 years ago.

This is why I always advocate for having a dashcam as one of the first things to install in a new car.

It looks fixable to me, but I suppose it's up to your insurance company. Hopefully the cab driver's footage shows the Kia's license plate.

Please keep us updated. šŸ™

To be honest I would not want to keep car after any mishap...I hope you can find away out of this that will not cost you arm and leg for someone stupidity..

Sad to see this happen. Tough to tell the extent of the damage from three photos. See what the mechanic says. Hopefully itā€™s mostly cosmetic damage up front.

That actually doesn't look too bad but it's impossible to tell without tearing apart the bumper to examine the frame.

Sorry that this happened. It sucks. I install dash cams in all my cars now. The Emira has a USB port right near the rear view camera so it's very easy to do. I strongly recommend everyone installing a dash cam of some sort.

I would bet money that it is repairable. Youā€™ve got the best sign that it can be fixed- it runs and drives, and thereā€™s not immediately apparent big problems.

The parts may take some time to get, but I bet if you are patient it can be put right again.

Sorry to hear, but glad youā€™re OK!

Idk if Israel charges the same 100% tax on parts imported, but a rough estimate cross referencing the quote I received when I crashed my Emira is youā€™re looking at $20-$25k USD in parts before labor/paint.

The biggest pain is going to be dealing with lotus unfortunately. Many of these parts only the factory have parts numbers for.

Best of luck! Keep us posted

Jeeze. Even it it`s smash up state, the Emira looks AAMAZING! Sorry about your incident. It could have been a lot worse. Once you start spinning, you just become a passenger. And then luck takes over.

So sorry to see this. It looks like most of it is body panels, but the aluminum underbody panel in front probably got bent. Depends on if it just bent, or some of the damage pushed back to the frame the panel is attached to. The radiator leaking is worrisome. The biggest expense may be the airbags believe it or not, those things are expensive. Glad you're okay, but yeah, get a dash cam. I got one on mine almost right away when I got my car.

Super sad to see, maybe since you are in Europe you can get parts, looks like a straight forward fix.
