But I'm still back at the issue of using images from a web browser as reference images, that I know the web browser has diminished because it doesn't have the extended color space capability my computer does. Under those conditions, there's simply no way I can 100% get an accurate color representation, which is why I say what I've created is at best maybe 95% close. That's close enough though to get a reasonable idea of how these colors are going to look on the cars.
Eagle - as someone who has worked in the professional photography world and dealt with image comparisons you are dealing with many different variables not the least of which is that 99% of people have not color balanced their monitors as we probably have (I hope you have) so even if your image is perfect on your screen it may look very different on others
The things that you should be doing is taking color samples hopefully from a raw image with a grey reference (a MUST for color balance correction) for color balance. You can work in adobe full rgb color space but make sure your final exports are in sRGB for web use. You could output and send by private message full adobe color space images which will be more accurate but ONLY to someone who understands how to properly view such images and to someone that won’t repost them.
