Alternate configurator renders of the other 4 FE colors

OKAY, having now gotten that done, I can do requests for color combos. I saw a red with black seats request for example. I can do the wheels in all silver, diamond cut, and gloss black. I can do all 4 caliper colors; silver, yellow, red and black. I have black, red and tan for the seats. I can probably come up with ice, but that's going to be harder because of the lack of photos of actual samples, but I can approximate it.

Some even mentioned outdoor lighting for the U.K. The program I'm using actually does allow for sun settings for month, day, time of day, and longitude/latitude so I can do a sun position setting for the U.K. I can change the sky settings as well, so I'll have to look for an overcast clouds setting if some of you actually want some images under those conditions.
Would love to see the magma red with brighter wheels if it’s not too much trouble. Frankly, I’d love to see all of them with brighter wheels. A white render with red interior would be welcome too. And if you are feeling adventurous, how about a creamy white (like many 60s British cars) with a blood red-I mean really deep maroon-top and silver wheels. Not having any idea how long these things take, I worry that I may be consigning you to having to quit your job to do renderings. Hahah.

Nimbus, no upper black pack, red callipers, silver wheels, but showing red leather interior? Thanks!

would it be too much asking if it can be done the Nimbus, black pack, black wheels, yellow calipers and Alcantara interior yellow stitch.

That's my chosen config, but I cannot decide between the black or silver wheels, would appreciate to see it in this amazing renders.

Thanks

Lol well since I'm retired, this is something to do that I not only enjoy, but wanted to do to contribute to the Lotus community. Lotus has had 6 months since the rollout to give us accurate images of the colors on the car we're being asked to commit paying $100k for, and it's really been one area where they've dropped the ball in my opinion. Their configurator is almost useless it's so far short of the actual colors.

I get it that they're busy, but It's only taken me 2 days to do this, and that's with having to find a 3D Emira model to purchase, download it, load it into my 3D program and begin identifying all the separate objects in it, label them, and start putting textures and colors on them. That's just some of the work I've done, and if I can do this in 2 days, there's really no excuse why someone at the design studio with access to the actual equipment and original files couldn't have done this.

At any rate, hopefully these help everyone to choose the color combinations they want and have a reasonable idea of how it's going to look.

Taking your requests into consideration, I did a lot of work on the wheels. Created a specific silver color based on photos of the actual gray car. I hadn't really looked at the wheels in depth before, but once I did I realized the tires were just basically donuts with an image wrapped around them. I replaced them with a tire model I already had that has actual tread modeled (although you can't see it in these particular images) and used better tire rubber textures. Another thing I noticed was the wheels were sticking out past the side of the body, so I moved them inward to where they'd actually be on the real car.

Here's a couple with your white and maroon request. The thing with really dark colors is they tend to act like mirrors, so you mostly see reflected light rather than the actual color. You can see the color the best on the tops of the mirrors.

Thanks @Eagle7 this is great work!

The green keeps on trying to lure me. Would love to see it with dark gold wheels (Lambo or similar).

That last white version reminded me of one of the attempts by a car magazine at a "spyshot" render. I suspect they'd seen a glimpse of a styling clay and had blended it with some Evora and Evija elements. It's not too far off the actual car side profile but the front still has the Evora/Elise/Exige top exit vents. The registration is a nice touch too!

I think we should put you in touch with Lotus HQ to provide the official renders!

I believe the work on the configurator was outsourced to a specialist agency, which is even more disappointing as you'd think they'd have more expertise on colour-matching.

It might not be what we’re getting but that’s a bloody good looking car. I’d be more than happy with an Evomira !!

The seats aren't super detailed so unfortunately they don't have a stitching I can color. About the only part that is somewhat detailed are the headrests, so I can at least put Alcantara, leather or color the center stripe for those.

That would be fun hehe.

I don't know who they used for this, but they would have been better off contracting with a gaming company to do the configurator.

Not complaining and I know we’ve seen pics of the blue and dark grey but would love for them to be included if possible just to look side by side. So much appreciated
Yeah I can do that. I'll have to create the colors but I can see how it would be nice to have every color in a similar setting for comparison.

it really helps me.
I think I will stick with my original choice after all.
is it just me or does it really look lower with the black wheels?

Got a decent Seneca, so now I can do color combo requests for that one. Next is Shadow Grey.

Wow, these are fantastic!

A request from me please - Shadow grey with red calipers, silver wheels (or diamond cut ones), no black pack and red leather :)

I am normally not a fan of white cars. I mean I like them it's just not for me. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I have seen a white rendering of the Emira on this forum and briefly wondered about waiting to get this. Something about this white is catching my eye. But I remain on the Dark Verdant. Gotta get green.

Feel the same way about silver cars, but yet silver on the Emira is amazing.
I really think the lines on the Emira look best with lighter colors.

This is what I have for Shadow Grey at the moment. This is a really tricky color because it goes black so easily depending on light conditions.

Just to show how light angle affects it, here's one with the sun at a higher position.
