It's new news to me that US deliveries are 6 months lagging UK deliveries and it's new news to me that UK deliveries haven't happened yet. I Figured they'd have started by now so wow. I'm speechless. So no customer has taken delivery of an Emira anywhere....yikes.

Does anyone at the least have a delivery date for a UK delivery or is even that speculative?

UK people in the first batch of 120 cars have been told September delivery, with a few possibly late Aug. But not yet specific delivery dates.

Trust me, I've been kicking myself for not buying an Evora or Cayman to hold me over. I would have if I had known it'd be a ~2 year wait since my initial deposit to delivery.

My dealer still says November, but we all know that's not happening. I had so many plans for the Emira this year that aren't going to happen now. 😔 I've been trying to stay positive about the car, but it's hard for me to not feel disappointed and underwhelmed at this point. Reviews weren't as stellar as I had hoped and the lack of comms from Lotus (especially Lotus of US) is really bumming me out. I'd like to at least have the option to get my $5k back.
Try working w a dealer who still wont give you a straight answer about markup over MSRP. Try adding that to your cocktail of misfortune...

Damn, seriously? Lotus of US needs a major overhaul and these dealers need to get in check.

Lotus USA is non existent in my opinion. They have zero presence in the automotive world (in N/A) from what I have seen. And because of this the dealers that carry Lotus must have a very difficult time, they just want to sell cars, make money and help customers. Right now they are not doing any of the three.

Really do feel you on all of this. Thankfully my $2500 is fully refundable. But I've forgone the entire season of track time because I was under the impression I'd be getting a car sometime in late summer/early fall.

I've even gone so far as to remove track modifications on my current fun car.

The longer we wait, finance rates are going up and the used market is starting to show signs of softening up which means lower used sale for me.
Yep anticipation excitement only lasts so long. I'm guessing there will be some cancellations. And yep interest rates will rise but with a recession looming I'm thinking demand will ease and prices will hold fairly steady. I'm not interested in paying GT4 price for an Emira...as cool and unique as it is.

I was able to do a test drive in Dallas (Earth Motor Cars) last week and was told that they expect to deliver the first 12 by EOY and then receive an allocation of ~ 30/mo after that. I'm skeptical of that for obvious reasons. I put down my deposit in Jan 2023 and was #120 on the list and have since moved up to #83 which indicates 1/3 have cancelled.
