Anyone having trunk issues?

So I’ve tried all suggestions and the best method I’ve found so far is to slam the trunk down hard….

At first that worked as the trunk light went away but has come back with a vengeance. Even though the trunk is closed, in the middle of the night the alarm goes off because the car thinks it's open. This and the latch itself is starting to not unlock when I press the key fob.

My dealer has told me they have ordered a new latch, but while we wait for the new latch to arrive, does anyone know if there a temp fix for disabling the trunk sensor? Maybe disconnecting a connector or a fuse? I really don’t want the cars alarm to go off and I don’t want to disconnect the battery or leave the car unarmed.

Same here, service adjusted the latch, trunk closes like it should without having the body slam it lol

The trickle charger cable is the biggest culprit of my trunk issues...
I set the trunk lock with my thumb, with the trunk still open, lay the wire over the rear and then gently rest the trunk lid on the already latched mechanism (it holds the trunk lid high enough to allow the wire through comfortably). This way I can lock the car with the key fob, ensuring its "completely shut down" while charging. Unlocking the trunk mechanism with my key fob, and closing the trunk (with a slightly high drop) has just become part of my "unplug" procedure before driving.

much like CPR, but without the electric shock part..
WARNING: *TRIGGERED*: If you are doing CPR the AED won't shock - because there is no pulse, so no danger of electrocution. It drives me nuts when I see the "medical professionals" on TV shocking a flat line (asystole).. That never happens... (venting complete - :ROFLMAO:)

**now back to our regularly scheduled discussion** :ROFLMAO:

I run my charger wire through the opening between bottom of the rear glass and boot, you know the opening that water runs through when you wash it. I close the trunk normally and the charger box sits outside of the car. I can take a picture after.
