Anyone in the VA, MD, DC area with an Emira?

I'm trying to decide if I want to wait 7 months for a custom configuration just to get the Ice Grey interior, or just buy an inventory model at my local dealer. They didn't have any cars with Ice Grey and I would really like to see it in person. Are there any Emira owners in the area that would be willing to meet up to let me see it in person?

I personally wouldn't do a light colored natural leather as it will get dirty and look old. I recommend the brown leather ad something that will wear well. That is if you are not really really wanting the light colored leather. I have seen a few other Emiras at the cars and coffees around but not one with an Ice Grey inferior, unfortunately.

That's a good point. I hadn't considered the wear. I'm curious how the alcantara interior holds up over time as well.

The alcantara is okay - the only worry is places like the armrest and steering wheel where you touch a lot. But really just the steering wheel. Some have really strongly negative experiences with alcanrara steering wheels. Some don't.

Beyond the esthetic with Nimbus, this was my second "pro" for choosing the tan leather. I'll echo that there are several of us in the DMV, actually saw my first "in the wild" Emira in Chantilly the other night..

How do you like the tan? I feel like I'd be fine with it if it was just the seats, but I worry that the dash strip would be too much to look at all the time.

Was worried in the beginning (I chose having only seeing pictures, which makes the tan look orange), but once I saw them in person I was impressed, and happy with the decision. You can sort of get a view in the attached picture - and looks a bit orange, but it really isn't, it's just they way it photographs.

I wouldn't be deterred from a light interior. If you ceramic coat it and wipe it down every now and then it should be fine. It does take some intentional care though. I have light interior on my Audi and it's fine. Reminds me I need to clean it up.

In the NCR... caught a wild Emira siting last night on/around the Woodrow Wilson bridge. It looked good... Zinc Gray w/ Red calipers. I have the black/red contrast alcantara interior, so can't help regarding the tan leather.

There is a good chance there will be an Emira or two at Katies Cars & Coffee tomorrow morning. But you have to get up early for it - gets very crowded by 7am. Weather permitting, I plan to go to Hollin Hall Cars & Coffee (Alexandria - Fort Hunt Road) Sunday morning 8-10am, I have DV with tan interior.

I'm not in the area but I've seen both tan and white interiors in person and they both look great IMO. Better than in photos.

My last car had a white interior and I'd personally never do it again. Just my 2c
