Mine is an AO plate from Auto100. Was 4 months old and had 1300 miles on it
Strangely it had the Scorpion tracker fitted, but not activated, so pretty certain it wasn't a private owner
Mine has the tracker fitted but not activated as well. Although our plates are different, it sounds like our cars are related!

Me too, AO plate from Auto100, Was 4 months old and had 1900 miles on it. 1 Key and 1 fob for Scorpion tracker not activated. I think mine was a press car, as I have since seen it on Youtube being reviewed.

Why would they put a tracker on a press car? Do you think there’s a difference, in terms of their use, between the ones without a tracker and those with?

My car is now with Lotus Colchester. Has anyone got any experience of their workshop? I’ve had three emails from them (I had to prompt them all) and each email has contradicted the last one! The first said they had taken the engine and gearbox out of the car to replace the clutch bearing. The second said they couldn’t give me a timescale for the repair as the doors were on back order and when I said I was happy for the doors to be done at a later date, they said that the delay was because they were going to take the engine and gearbox out to diagnose the problem! I don’t think they’ve even looked at ,y car yet.

Anyone got good or bad experiences with them?

(Happy for admin to move this post to a separate post as this is no longer about Auto100)

Hi all
For those that only got one key from this dealer
I stumbled across this last night on Aliexpress
The fob part was cheaper than this from my local dealer (Oakmere) £96.86 and they are off the shelf virgin fobs. Its the internal key blade thats the expensive bit and takes weeks to come from China! See below:-

I am trying to find out which manufacturer the keys/locks come from. Hoping then, its just a matter of getting the blade cut by Timsons or the like.
No luck on the manufacturer so far though

My car was originally an AU23 plate, factory registered, but was Hendy Southampton's dealer demo car (yes the factory registered those too on behalf of the dealers) f
The Dealers didn't own those demo cars. (during the direct sales model period)
Lotus loaned the cars to the dealers, and paid a 'fee' for each demo performed.

An update. I came to a financial agreement with Auto100 and my car was taken to Lotus Colchester on the 18th December for warranty work.

I’ve since sent Colchester numerous emails and got very little information back, until yesterday, after I got the service manager involved. The car was described by Auto100 as ‘immaculate’, ‘beautiful’ and ‘effectively new’. It had 430 miles on the clock. Lotus Colchester have confirmed the following:

1. The clutch thrust bearing has collapsed - warranty replacement.
2. The clutch is damaged and a complete new clutch needs to be installed - warranty replacement.
3. The front wiring loom is ‘defective, causing multiple warning lights (restraint system failure, horn failure and front light failure) and needs to be replaced - warranty replacement.
4. The front fuse box has water ingress and needs replacing (also contributing to the warning lights mentioned above) - warranty replacement.
5. Drivers door needs replacing due to bubbling - warranty replacement.
7. Passenger door needs replacing due to bubbling - warranty replacement.
8. Drivers door mirror not retracting - reason still to be determined - warranty replacement.
9. Cosmetic damage to clear coat on front bonnet - repair to be carried out at my cost.
10. Cosmetic damage in three places to plastic tailgate liner- replacement at my cost.
11. Battery not holding charge - replacement at my cost.
12. HEVAC controls water cover/barrier to be installed - to be installed under warranty.
13. Software is out of date and needs updating - to be updated under warranty
14. Missing key fob, replacement ordered at my cost.
15. Missing tracker fob, replacement ordered at my cost.

According to Auto100 it was serviced by a Lotus main dealer 3 days before I collected it.

So I’ve had the car for 6 days and Lotus Colchester have had it for 3 weeks. At least I now have a complete list of the work required and the work will start next week, so things are progressing now and I may get my car back in the near future.

Items 3 & 4, front loom & fuse box are a big issue.

I discussed it, with pics here:

And as shown by pics from other members, the job of replacing the looms (front and rear need doing) requires a pretty heavy stripdown.

When you say "financial agreement" please say it at least covers all of the "at my cost" issues you listed and hopefully more
