My car was allegedly a Lotus Director Car, that was then sold on. Hope thats the case, and not recall/fixer
Chance are what you were told is correct as it was only "some" of the cars.Hope not, as I have one from them

Have there been that many? I must admit to not having heard of any until I saw this threadI wonder how many have been bought back, maybe a list of number plates so new buyers can check against what the forum knows.
DVLA says road tax was due 18th October 2024.Mine was bought back, AP23VLC. I don’t believe it has been sold or even put on the market yet.
It was transferred to Lotus Technology Innovative on the 18th OctoberDVLA says road tax was due 18th October 2024.
First registered 31st July 2023 and date of last V5C logbook issued 31st July 2023. When was yours bought back?
I would have expected another change of V5C after that.
Ok, maybe the V5C won't be properly reissued until the next private buyerIt was transferred to Lotus Technology Innovative on the 18th October
I hate to say it, BUT, I got mine from auto100 also, NOT a good experience.Hope not, as I have one from them

And one of the forum's OG members return... Welcome home!I hate to say it, BUT, I got mine from auto100 also, NOT a good experience.
They ALSO told me it was a director car, but I have to say, I dont believe a word those guys say...... not one word.
My car had a broken windscreen, which was eventually fixed by them before I collected it.
MY car also had A/C issue, which was not spotted by them, despite their 150 point check... load of rubbish..
My car also had a couple of tiny bumps in paint on door, which they apparently did not spot, even though they valleyed the car, in the finest details.. load of rubbish....
My car is a 24 plate V6, hence why I got it, hoping the later cars will hold value a bit more, as lets face it, nothing else it.... but it probably wont.
IF there are bought back cars, then yes chances are auto100 has them, and chances are, they did not do a great check as to see whether everything was fixed, but you may be lucky.......
Aahhh, that explains why they have so many for sale at the moment.Fairly sure someone said they were some of the cars that Auto100.co.uk are selling on Autotrader.
Can I ask how much they bought back for, what you paid or less, if less did the take a % and was it negotiated? What was the process you followed and who did you have contact with, I'm now on 8 weeks with it at the dealers. Owned since April and 60%+ time at the dealers or not roadworthy.Mine was bought back, AP23VLC. I don’t believe it has been sold or even put on the market yet.
and returns with an Emira no less......And one of the forum's OG members return... Welcome home!
I bought it for £78k at the end of July 23. They bought it back for £58k in October. This was after Lotus CC assured me that a wiring failure was not due to the wiring harness being replaced. They either didn’t understand what had been done to the car or were being dishonest. Either way, they knew they were in a legal hole and accepted my buyback proposal. It was actually a valuation figure after I tried to buy a new Emira from the them in July which they refused to do. The car had done 4k miles and was 14 months old so I was satisfied with the buyback despite having been off the road for 4 months. Can I ask how much they bought back for, what you paid or less, if less did the take a % and was it negotiated? Ouch. Speaking to someone in Escalations tomorrow and will be trying to get some kind of compensation from them, certainly not letting it go for that. My usp is that everything that has been recorded going wrong has and been sorted under warranty, though 8th week waiting for an ECU and wiring loom is a pain.I bought it for £78k at the end of July 23. All this was following months of calls and emails as well as consultations with a solicitor. I was dealing with Adam in the escalation team but he was just a middle man between me and his managers.
They now have 17 for sale. Thats as many as most dealers.I wonder how many have been bought back, maybe a list of number plates so new buyers can check against what the forum knows.
