So driver side going over bumps plastic clacking sound
what it sounds like ...
I thought maybe seat but bang it nothing...
Then I thought the bungee going into side panel and taped it and still there..
My thinking now wonder if headliner where it sits on panel..
Any one having this issue...

My headliner makes a noise at the rear. Almost like a popping sound to me.

Take better care to get all the chickens out before setting off 🐔

My next ride going to try double sticky tape or piece of black foam to see if it stops.. Will let you know
I put the foam between the headliner and back wall and noise is gone...
I will have to replace foam for some type of rubber trim to make it look nicer..
But found the cause of noise.
.Hope this helps you with popping sound of yours Miamiblue..

You have a picture of the location? mine is doing the same, and I am having a hard time locating - its behind my head while driving.

Here is location behind driver seat and will use small rubber door seal for doing final seal finish ..
This noise was really pissing me off for I have Tinnitus and any noise drives me furious..
And my wife does not hear this noise sitting next to me ..OMG

Wonder if the same 1/16in rubber edging that I used for seat to protect the leather from scratching would work? Or is the headliner thicker, and maybe needs a wider channel?

I put that on seat edge also and I did this blind today without light pushing foam up there just to make sure this was noise area..
But think Home Depot 5/16 foam edge for doors will work... Will go get some and let you know later this week..

It's possible that piece is not clipped in properly. I had that area apart recently and it is difficult to properly "click" the clip into the trim piece behind it. While I had the rear trim panels off, I also found some screws that were loose and a missing bracket that a piece of trim is supposed to attach to.

It is possible.. I m 74 and can not bend and see things like years ago... But I just want the noise to go away and if the foam does it
I am a happy person ..for know one will see behind seat ....Maybe when I take it in I Amy talk to dealer..
But the last Lotus Evora I had warranty work done they left me with a dash rattle that I decided to sell it for that reason.
Dealers are to far away to keep running back and forth ..
So foam works and no more noise..LOL. ..So I will keep Emira another few hundred miles...

No more noise putting weather strip between headliner and Back Wall..
I noticed the driver side had a gap of 1/4 to 5/16" and the passenger side was very tight.
I put strip on passenger side to look uniform to driver side..
On Amazon it is called Vital AMO Weather Strip and I found it in Home Depot..
So glad noise is gone and another 600 miles to put it in Sport/Track Mode..
