So driver side going over bumps plastic clacking sound
what it sounds like ...
I thought maybe seat but bang it nothing...
Then I thought the bungee going into side panel and taped it and still there..
My thinking now wonder if headliner where it sits on panel..
Any one having this issue...

That entire area is not put together well....I'm getting the same sound over bumps, but seems to be right dominant.....this car better rip after break in because my initial powertrain impressions are meh.
I take it you have the I4 ??? Took my I4 for 120 mile ride yesterday and wish my knees at 74 were better and just wish clutch in V6
was not so stiff.. I do miss shifting and hope that when 1000 miles is hear that putting in sport/Track Mode it sounds and feels
more sportier than Silent Mode...I am getting some serious mpg from it ...It sure is a beauty to look at nd draw attention

It's the slowest 400bhp car I've ever driven (take that as you like).
But I still love it!

I found this on Amazon Wall Corner Protector and does inside and outside corners..
If the 3M double sticky tape does not do it I will purchase and do believe this will have
enough strength to hold headliner from flexing.....

Well I have tried 3M rubber tape across the whole back window and I drive it 10 or so miles no noise then it starts.
I come home and push the headliner up into roof and I can still hear the noise..
So think next few weeks going to call Lotus and take it in ..
If this was not a brand new car I would have poked small hole and put spray foam between roof and headliner..

Did you actually solve this? Saw your post in the "What did you do to your Emira" thread where you posted "So today I finally got the headliner to stop making noise after 400 miles.."

Please tell me you found the answer...🙏

Let me drive it a few more day to make sure.. Probably next week..I had kidney stones today and in ER..
But I do know what is causing the noise... If you look at headliner across the rear window there is No Support..
If you push up on headliner in rear about center you may find the noise you hear..
So yesterday I put the double sticky tape all the way across the rear window to get it to stick to window and headliner
so that it is not flexing..I will purchase this next few days from Amazon and just see how this sticks to rear window and
the rubber holding the headliner to make a inside corner ..
What I maybe should have done is pull rubber to headliner and just sprayed foam between headliner and roof and
problem solved...Just was afraid of mess with foam getting on interior...
Hope this helps in your finding your issue ?
So this next whole week I will not be able to do anything because weather is damp and cold here
and none of these adhesives really stick in conditions..
I have Tinitus really bad and yesterdays ride of 40 miles of Quiet was the best ride in Emira of putting total 400 miles on it.

I noticed some squeaking noises when going over bumps. Sounds like it comes from the seat but still could be exact of where it's coming from.

I keep hearing that....I'm 800 miles in, US car, I4. Ghost sensor, blinker error, clanking noise behind seats. There's 4 software updates that my local dealership will do in 2 weeks. Aside from the looks and unique feel on the road, I'm just not there yet. Let's see after breakin to see if she speaks a bit more to me.

US car i4.....

Yeah, so you shouldn’t have to deal with blistering paint, major electrical gremlins, etc. Double sided tape and occasional odd quarks? Yeah. It’s the Lotus way. Unfortunately the build quality isn’t Porsche level, but the driving experience quickly helps you look past that.

Wonderful....wait 2 yrs for car and now I'm ordering double sided tape off Amazon to fix my car....lol
As long as you do not have noise or issues you will not need Amazon Tape..
But these Emira's all have unusual issues and at times better for owner to correct than have
dealer who think they know and start tearing down and cause another issue..
That is what happened to my Evora under warranty work at end of warranty and they caused
more problems to make me just sell it after they had my car for 4 weeks trying to fix it..

I do laugh.
For those with annoying noises in the Emira, see if you can find an Elise to take for a drive. Then go back to the Emira. Its morgue like in its quietness by comparison. OK, so its not Porsche or RR quality quietness, but its a major improvement over what they had achieved previously

Following this thread closely. I have various rattles and noises. But I would say the rear headliner noise is the worst. I figure start with the worst offenders and work my way down until it's acceptable.
