Has anyone over the years with their Lotus used any spray protection on Aluminum
suspension / transmission to maintain them from corroding??

I just sprayed my transmission housing with CRC Marine corrosion inhibitor... it had a bunch of white flaky crap on it that I noticed when doing the short shift mod. It seemed to work well. (Before pic below)

Do you have after Picture you can share.. Is this something you will need to spray few times a year ??

I sprayed everything around the engine with ACF-50 per recommendations on this forum. Seems to be doing its job. I didn’t do the suspension, but I think it would work well for that too.

I know the UK has some spray called XCP Clear and rated very high and see new spray called Mac Off HCB 1 .
Did the ACF 50 seem oily and did you have to wipe it after applying ???

I have a can of ACF-50 ready to go, but I'm still trying to figure out how best to clean/polish things up before laying down the protectant spray. My supercharger especially looks like it could do with some buffing up due to surface corrosion. Getting the wheels off and doing all the suspension arms etc is probably a good shout (y)

Presumably using a metal polish beforehand is going to interfere with the protectant spray... anyone got any insights or experience there?

I didn’t clean or prep anything. Just sprayed it on the first week I received the car. It did run a bit in collect in areas. See pink liquid in attached picture. I didn’t bother wiping it but you certainly could.
