I like the pop flash of bright yellow out of the austere classy coat of dark Green. Aston does similar thing with orange.

I'm sure if you asked me tomorrow I'd change my mind, just like the design director noted on black pack vs. not.

Definitely no black pack needed on Dark Verdant!

The privacy glass actually looks really good on it too.
i‘ve ordered only the lower black pack, on my Dark Verdant car, since it is included in the price of FE, and I think it will make a subtle positive difference. I am also getting the privacy glass, and since it is only rear windows, I personally don’t think it will detract from the looks of the car or cause other problems. Mine will be an I4 AMG with tan interior.

Those yellow calipers really pop maybe too much. Might change to black

I’m same spec, and I’ve asked my dealer to spray black the tailpipes and change the LOTUS lettering from silver to black

In the early days of the forum someone posted an image of an (I think DV) Emira mocked up with a pinstripe and LOTUS on the sill. I’m thinking of doing something similar on mine, but can’t find the image- can anyone point me in the right direction?

Snap! After seeing DV in the flesh, I think it’ll look great with some additional pops of yellow. Here are some images kindly created by @Eagle7

I’m playing around with a few ideas of where to add yellow decals to my DV Emira. Please excuse the very amateur images below (not quite up to @Eagle7 skills)🫣

My DV scale model is arriving soon so I’m planning on playing around with some yellow sticky back plastic strips to give me a 3D idea of how it might look on a full size car. I’ll post some pics once done.

I understand why Lotus was hesitant on photographing DV. It really does change significantly. The video's perhaps give it a better representation. Nimbus kept me up last night..... Im wavering again. Damn.

No offense, but at first glance my brain thought this was going to look really goofy. But I'm liking it! I think you're onto something. Lotuses really do wear pinstriping well, don't they? 👍

They certainly do. I took a bit of inspiration from this Evija shot

When are you due delivery and where you based? I have DV with black callipers due in November and I want yellow, swaps? 😂

Is it just me or do all the real life pictures of DV look a different shade of green compared to the configurator? The shade of the calipers too

Thanks for sharing the videos -hadn't seen the #27 video before. I have followed Harry for years - and have seen a few videos on his Elan. I have to admit that the recent Harry video you posted - and I first saw in January - inspired me to find and buy a Sprint - which I did in May of this year. It is one of, if not "the", best car to drive that I have experienced. I can't even explain why or how it does what it does - it is everything these videos say it is. It would kill a stock Miata on a winding road - and your face would be aching from the grin afterwards. What it can do with 126 hp and 4" wide tires defies logic. No car I have driven is like it, as a owner of a few older cars I can't believe I didn't find or know this earlier and I can't imagine ever selling it.
I have a '73 Sprint and its fab. Had it going on 30 years and its nearly completed a 5 year + nut and bolt resto.

In gold leaf colours. Been round the ring in it. Two blokes and a load of camping gear 🤡

I think the configurator is pretty close. Much better than the original one Lotus published. The yellow calipers are a little brighter and match closer to the center caps. Of course, it is just a configurator and won't be 100% exact. For example, the sunlight Seneca render is much lighter than the actual Seneca Blue in person. I think the video option is the closest to real life IMO.

agreed... the more DV pics that come out the better it looks. Stealth but not black and unique.

I have a very strong suspicion that they have changed the paint mix for DV to make it more visually green, likely (and hopefully) in response to strong feedback about this online.

This does not seem to be the same color mix / balance that was used prior to July/Aug. The previous mix was only identifiable as green in the bounce of light off the metallic flake. This new one seems to be far closer to the Empire Green used on the last variant of the Elise, rather than the near-black shown previously as "DV".

I can see that as well. Slight variations. Nimbus/seneca has looked good in almost every picture I have seen. With DV some have looked amazing and others so so. Very tough without seeing in person.
