5 months ago I ran my car through We Buy Any Car (WEBAC) and was offered £59,750/$79,600/€71,800, today that figure was £48,000/$63,950/€57,690. 900 miles on the clock, 3.5 V6 1st edition with ice grey interior. Is it the current market or a reflection on the number of cars available?

WEBAC tend to offer what a trade in price would be against another car. The lowest Emira on sale on AutoTrader UK is under £60,000/$80,000/€72,000 at the moment.

WEBAC are absolute p**s taking cowboys and in no way do they give you a true reflection of the cars value or the real trade in price even! (maybe a few years ago they were different). I recently got a price from them for my BMW X5 (2 years old 22k) which was £32k. The part Ex price I actually got from a used car dealer was £45k and then it sold within 2 days at that dealer for £53K. I am surprised they have not gone bust by now! Or maybe there are a lot of people out there with too much money and easily suckered in by them.
Prices are dropping on the Emira but they will not tank. They will reach a level then plateaux. 1st year depreciation is always huge on higher value exotic cars. This car will always remain highly desirable, just look at it!

I've been browsing for a while (mainland Europe) and I don't see prices going down on what's on offer. Prices seem stable to me, and the number of cars available has actually gone down.

Anyone would have to be a mug to sell even a 2022 model for £48k. Next year at some point all the paint issues will be solved , which I am sure has temporarily lowered prices.

And all the other issues? Mine will be going before the warranty ends for sure.

I agree there are other issues but even main brands get teething troubles for new models like Ford did with the first Focus models. A mate works for Ferrari and if you think Lotus has bad quality control, you would be amazed at the rubbish that gets sent to the dealer. He showed me pictures of a brand new one with flaking paint and a bonnet so out of line it wouldn't close. Trust me I have had about every problem that has happened so far and as long as it get fixed I am happy. Sure the warranty will run out but I hope all the teething issues will be fixed and if ongoing problems they will still be liable to sort them. There will be some great deals to be had by owners wanting to sell at that point which will allow owners to get an exotic car with tons of life left and hopefully less of the pain we are experiencing.

I am looking for a used one at the bottom end of the market, so this is good news for me. I know most who own them right now and most from new, this will be bad news.
I just missed out on a blue 23 plate and the seller let it go for £58500.
I know it's not good for owners, luckily I won mine 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉🎉 and it cost me £7.90 so anything is win for me. I was looking to replace my Cayman that was written off so the timing was spot on.

I think cars that highlight all recalls done and doors replaced will fetch a premium 😂

Haven’t anyone here been following g the finance newspaper? No exotic cars are doing to well at the moment. Any car is only worth what the market will pay at any moment in time. Numerous factors affect this.
The only price drop you should worry about is if people are selling their Emira because they are a bucket of shite. No evidence of that to date.

I do not buy a car like this with the concern of what the resale price might be.
Aren't you lucky. That so many placed orders 2 years ago, with a deposit, and still haven't received their cars while watching prices drop isn't a good sign. Virtually all new cars lose value, but a third in a little over a year is a hard one to swallow. The numerous faults and recalls reported don't help prices either, Lotus and everyone else hoped they had moved on from being a low volume, unreliable manufacturer.
