Emira Wheel Gap Discussion

Fair point. I just note the irony that every attendee of the factory tour gets the big speech about how every body panel is laser-checked multiple times for sub-mm accuracy, and yet the ride height seems to vary wildly between different examples, with hand-wave explanations of "this is still preproduction". Precision should apply across the entire build, and does for other manufacturers at this price point.
If you visit McLaren they’ll bang on about how they ensure quality is excellent and how they check every car and we know what some of their cars are like 🙂

Since we want to talk about body panels. I sure hope my Emira rear fender body panel does not look like this!

Thank you! I’m sure you are just swell😂 sorry if I hurt your feelings.🥲
This is my R8 wheel gap. It handles superb and rides great.
Don’t worry, you haven’t hurt my feelings it’s just that you’re very anal about a few MMs of wheel gap. Bigger things in life to worry about but if it makes you happy then carry on 😂

If you are not concerned about wheel gap why are you posting in the wheel gap thread🤦‍♂️

Blimey, I’m starting to feel like I’m being’groomed’ , can you stop messaging me? FYI I’m not a 12 year old girl
I do not even know what that means. I guess simple things amuse simple minds!

It is very easy to find a picture to fit your narrative . I guarantee they do talk about suspension and ride height. You just found a angle to fit your opinion🤷‍♂️
Here is the same car. View attachment 5920
🤣 So I provide a real photo of a car that shows it has wheel gap and you provide a stock photo similar to what lotus has on their website that shows zero wheel gap? Checks out lol

Anyways, here is the same real car from a more top down angle like yours....still wheel gap. And a few more examples for good measure. Point is, it's fairly common. Would I prefer all sports cars have the gap of a Porsche GT or Ford GT? Absolutely. But most don't.

Agreed the simple minded people like you should stick together. :ROFLMAO:

This is an interesting point I haven’t really seen discussed. Why are there so many LHD cars doing the rounds - so much so that some press cars are LHD?

I’d understand if they were production cars and the intent was to keep as many cars for customers but these aren’t.

Thoughts?
I did the factory heritage tour this week. I understand 85% of the production run will go to countries outside of UK. the line was still doing pre-production cars working out the processes, but they did have the first 30 or so Production Car chassis staged at the start of the line with the majority left hand drive.
