Emira Wheel Gap Discussion

Everyone picks on this. But do they realise this is actually the way it is designed ?

They wanted to have an impression of a spoiler lip... so they integrated the lower spoiler lip edge with a panel join (which is actually quite clever). If they made the lower spoiler lip flush to align with the rear bumper, then the "integrated spoiler" would have appeared to be melted into the rear on each side of the car.

If this design bothers you, then get a Shadow Grey or DV and you won't see it. :ROFLMAO:

are you saying the fender to bumper misalignment is on purpose? Just checking because I had not heard that. Interesting if that is the case.

It cant be "on purpose" as the cars that are properly aligned would be faulty ;) I am sure this will be solved before we all get our cars. So many pre-production cars on the road being photographed but not one "production" customer car delivered. So way to early to worry yet. Lotus are aware of the issue.

I think we're referring to different things.

You're referring to the red square panel alignment which I agree is an issue.

I'm referring to the green square - where you see a bevel on the panel join that flows upwards towards the "integrated spoiler" and taillight. Some have commented here that they believe that should be "flush" with the rear bumper. I was simply stating that this bevel on the panel join line (in the green area) is by design.

Oh ok you are correct I was talking about the red area. Thanks I don’t really see the issue with the green box but the red box is probably just pre production issue.

If you can read he was talking about the area in the green box. Not irony but keep making yourself look like a idiot.

It’s ‘ An idiot’ not ‘A idiot’ , now who looks like AN IDIOT 😂😂😂
Still you! Can you please move on from your obsession with me? Going forward I will ignore you.

Have any of you paid the 3rd payment yet for a July / August 22
car ?
Was it the full remaining balance ?
No one has been asked for 3rd/final payment yet. For July delivery people they will be asked about 30 days before delivery. I believe they will need to pay the final balance 7 days before delivery but tbc.

Be careful with all this wheel gap obsession... It can be a slippery slope:

All jokes aside.. Has everyone calmed down a bit since seeing the production stance in this week's reviews? It doesn't look too bad to me. Though it's pretty obvious the FEs are coming in soft and future versions will [hopefully] be more aggressive.

I ordered the sport suspension. From the reviews it still sounds to soft for my taste. I personally do not like a Cadillac ride in my performance cars. When offered I will be swapping out the suspension and ride height. I do not care for body roll or wheel gap. The new Porsche gt3 rs looks perfect to my eyes and I'm sure it will handle like it is on rails.

I'm happy to see the front gap looks slightly better on the magazine reviews than some of the previously leaked photos, but I'm still thinking I'll get the first set of KW V3's I can get my hands on.
