First Edition Dash Badge

It may actually affect all buyers as it could be a placeholder for a badge of some sort if the dash is moulded to accept such badging whether you purchase a FE or base model. Maybe Lotus could just deliver the badge in a nice envelope and the purchaser could either stick it or not. Instant customization!
I do have a suggestion where Lotus can stick it 😀

Maybe something a little fancier? Just for a few ideas.

Any of those would have been better. Wish they got a little more creative, but whatever. I honestly wanted a numbered plaque with builder signature. Something to make it feel limited and unique. Maybe for the final edition? We'll see.

They still may do something like that. These are demo cars after all. Since this is the first time we've seen it, they may be trying it out to see how people react. They've already changed some things based on reaction, so maybe this is a trial balloon.

Don’t think so , there’s actually a customer car in Belgium dealer

Ok I like to think of myself as a voice of positivity on here, or at the very least neutrality. I didn’t sweat the other things people were concerned about, generally blame macro conditions for delays etc., and am content getting my car when I get it. But…

I really don’t like this. Please Lotus, reconsider the placement or deliver the badge to owners “on the side” so we can mount it ourselves. As others have said, just below on the colored leather / alcantara bit would be great.

One of my favorite features of the Emira has been the clean and simple dash surfacing. It’s a thing of beauty. This badge looks so out of place, like an afterthought. It’s going to drive me nuts and it doesn’t look like it can be removed.

I hope they listen. The reactions to this seem universally negative.

Doubt it at this point, but we'll see. Your exterior FE designs were loads better too, but I'm glad they classed it up a bit with some texture.

I'm sure we'll see some aftermarket badge options.

Thank you, and yeah, I expect we'll see some aftermarket badges. The side badges should be easy to replace, but the one on the dash...if they've embossed the leather to make a place for it... ugh. I don't like it there at all, much less how plain and uninspiring it looks.

Having spent most of the day in the presence of a couple of Emiras, and fully respecting everyone’s opinions on the details, my overall impression is “damn but they’re pretty”. And completely at home amongst all of the exotic metal at the Concours. Us deposit holders are jolly lucky in my very humble opinion.

That badge placement is horrible. It looks like someone bought it on eBay and pasted it on using superglue. You can’t even read it without leaning forward and sitting up in your seat.

We’re all part of a focus group. They’ll listen.

The front of the glove compartment or top of the lower dash would be good alternatives.
