I dont know how much the car retails for over there, but in Spain its about 115k with a 16% registration tax and VAT of 21%, so you could easilly get to 130/35 maybe 40 in some EU countries with all the taxes. Holland is quite high, France is awful, to name a few, so it may not be as "high" as it seems.. .but more a reflection of the government

From some other forums list price for Netherlands with all the taxes on the V6 could be up to €145k - serious CO2 tax penalties over there. Not sure if that is the list price now but someone from the NL will prob correct me.

From what I've read yes, if you buy in Germany and drive it home to France it needs to be registered in France you then pay the taxes against it. If you had a house in Germany you could leave it on German plates but only be allowed in France for a certain number of months per year before they'll come knocking for taxes/French registration.

Its complciated..

THE sales tax / VAT/IVA etc would actually have to be paid moving an EU car from one EU country to another (seems against EU rules right?) IF IF IF the car has less than 6 months from 1st registration and less than 6000km.
However, if its over 6 months old and has > 6000km you dont have to pay the sales tax in the other country, BUUTTTT yes you have to pay registration tax, here in spain 14-16% and in France... 30 odd thousand.
Before you start thinking the EU sucks.. of course if you bought a new EU car made in the EU and brought it to the UK.... you would be in a far worse position... as you add to this import tax haha.
If I do finally sound knowledgable about something, its as I am talking from detailed experience, whereas most of the time Im talking pure rubbish.... helps me to fit in

Im glad I didnt get the black pack looking at these photos... to me it makes the car look disjointed at the rear quarter.... like the EV... Just my opinion...

I am a bit confused now. I have just opened the page in Google Chrome and you can translate the page to English (a new skill I have just learned!) and it says in the comments:
NB! This is our Lotus Emira V6 First Edition Demo.
So, what I think this may be is rather than an advert for that particular car for sale, it is a general advert for ordering an Emira. That is my best guess.
In the UK we have a saying that if something is difficult to understand or unintelligible we say "It is like double Dutch to me", the irony of this being a Dutch website is certainly not lost on me!

For info purposes, slightly related to the above, I told my dealer that if they had someone interested in my LHD Emira, I would consider selling it before I ever receive the thing. It would be nice to make something, but negotiable...... The dealer said it shouldn't be a problem, there were customers who could not get the FE car and my car should be one of the first in this country, but still probably November/December delivery.
2 to 3 weeks in, all potential customers contacted and zero interest in a manual car that now cannot be bought over here and in other guises has a 61 whatever week waiting list!

I too am doubting very much the market for this car at the moment. Those who say the reviews don't matter, well I 100% beg to differ. They may not matter to you, and for a few cars in the past they maybe didn't effect sales either, but they do in general certainly matter and I, plus Leonard plus Harry, plus many others bought a GR Yaris based on reviews I would say.... And if it had crap reviews, I never would have touched it.... just as an example.
We dont know how many cancellations there have been! We dont know how many people were waiting for reviews before ordering the car, that could easilly be another 5000. This is the 1st car I have ever ordered before it being released, so I dont think its something that "most" people do, hence we dont know how many of the "normal" people awaiting reviews have then placed orders, but I have a strange feeling its a lot less than it should have been.....
I still in theory want the car, RHD I think....easier to sell later..... but I think with reviews at best warm and with interest rates at best, crap, and with the general economies at best even crappier.... the intermediate future may not be as rosey as it should have been..... We shall seeeeeeee next year how orders shape up.
