Goodyear or Michelin durability ???

Hm.. Good point. This is what I found here:

UTQG treadwear rating means that the manufacturer took the tires to a testing facility, put it on a test vehicle and measured it against a standard tire with a 100 treadwear rating. If a tire is rated 300, that means it is expected to wear three times faster than the 100-UTQG rated tire.

How does that translate to miles? It doesn’t.
More info here too, citing a 7,200 mile test loop in Texas.

"If the test tire is expected to last as long as the reference tire, it receives a UTQG Treadwear grade of 100. If it is expected to last twice as long, it would receive a grade of 200. 300 means it is expected to last three times as long, and so on."

A rather sporty spec I would say, except for the tires. I thought a little less grip generates a little more fun on the street, a little more playful. That's been my thoughts.

I have been very solid with my spec decision regarding the Emira, but in the last days, after re-watching videos from Harry and Shmee, it seems to me that Michelin Cup 2s are the way to go with Sports suspension.

My current spec is:

Emira FE V6 manual
Sport suspension
Hethel yellow
no upper black pack
black alcantara with yellow linings
black alcantara steering wheel
black wheels with Goodyears

A rather sporty spec I would say, except for the tires. I thought a little less grip generates a little more fun on the street, a little more playful. That's been my thoughts.

But having seen so many videos I am not sure about the tire decision anymore because the missing front end grip could also be the case because of the Goodyear's behaviour.
After the last raod trip to the Dolomites I can say that my choice going with sports suspension and the Goodyears was the right one.

They do generate a lot of lateral g forces when pushed hard, I managed to get 1.4g out of them. Only once I had understeer, but this was my fault being a little overexcited going into an off-camber corner that caught me off-guard.

All in all these Goodyears perform really solid and are for me the right choice.

And to be honest I cannot confirm these early-on reviews where they moaned about understeering behaviour. This may be the case on a track, but on public roads this is a non-issue.
