Hethel Yellow Lotus Emira Photo Thread

Thanks for this!

Incidentally, it's great to have the car sitting in front of a "reference colour", by which I mean that Lotus marketing graphics yellow in the background, which I would guess is the same as this colour on their website:

This makes it easier to "colour-calibrate" any Hethel Yellow photos from now on. That being said, the colour balance in your photo above looks pretty darn accurate!

Yes, I think it is. A nice deep, rich, warm yellow, lovely. A little too extrovert for me but a cracker.

Even the mirrors are beautifully sculpted. What a work of art.

Is that a chunk missing out of the right hand edge of the mirror? Indicator repeater missing?
No, that part of the mirror housing has a recessed inset which is where the side lighting is.

When I see pics like this, this confirms that the "hood line issue" is a giant non-issue.
I'd say 90pct of heated debates in here are giant non-issues as you point out.

I'm actually pretty OCD and nit-picky, but some of the stuff on here is ridiculous, even for me.

I learned a long, long time ago - there's no such thing as a perfect car.

I've ridden in a Ferrari F40 once, (my childhood dream car), and the inside has exposed glue bits and misaligned panels. On the outside, there are tons of panel gaps everywhere. Do I care? Not really. Because it's a freaking F40.

I think what people want and expect these days are Lexus level build quality on all new performance cars, but with the specific performance, handling, and looks of exotic brands.

That's a tall order.

And people weren't even happy with the LFA when it came out. Look at it now! 💰

A few pics from Goodwood today in the afternoon sun (mostly), shows again how much difference shade and sunshine makes. Looked great..

Good to meet you @TomE
