the r8 is the sportscar that is closest in terms of dimensions with the emira

Met an old friend and former boss for coffee to compare our yellow cars. He bought that 2001 Boxster new and it is still his daily driver!

Can you link me to where I can buy these badges?
I had the chrome "LOTUS" letters and all 4 wheel badges replaced with black when I took delivery on May 7, but the nose badge was on backorder. Nose badge is STILL on backorder from Lotus, but of course Greg's Race Parts had them in stock and got one to me very quickly. :giggle: (y) Removal of the yellow one with dental floss and patience was pretty easy. New badge is peel-and-stick with alignment pins so almost impossible to screw up, unless you're drunk and put it on upside down.

Emira looks GREAT in yellow, but I had to swap out all the badges. The clash was driving me crazy.
Ha, that's why I couldn't bring myself to get the yellow calipers...well, that and the fact that I'm a lazy detailer it would be tough to keep them looking clean. I'll have to think about the other badges...not sure that bugs me enough...and not sure I like the black better.

Hey HY Emira lovers! Can't remember if I've shared all 3 of the videos I've made since taking delivery at the end of May. Getting lots of love for my HY Emira. If you're interested, I created My Emira Vlog in the Journals sub-section of the forum. I'll post all my videos, etc. there https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/my-emira-vlog.4878/ but here are the videos again...love seeing the HY Emira in the thumbnails. 😁

What is that sticker that says 75?

Did that come from dealer or custom?
Looks custom using the official image.

Out in the Emira during Hurricane Debbie last week and back home safely.
The Emira is a looker! As I was running to the car in the pouring rain, another guy also trying to stay dry had to stop and tell me what an awesome car it is. Hurricanes be damned!

Went out for breakfast on Sunday morning and stumbled into a Classic Cars n' Coffee in the area... What Luck (No one noticed it was a service vehicle)

Hey Hethel Yellow lovers! I'm considering a new steering wheel that incorporates yellow carbon fiber and there's always the question of whether it goes with the Hethel Yellow exterior or yellow stitching in the interior (which I have). I opted for black calipers because I didn't like the different color yellow against the HY car. So...

Does the yellow stitching option match Hethel Yellow, or does it matter?

Would the yellow CF (pictured) go with the yellow stitching?

PICTURE NOTES: The yellow CF is best seen in the paddles shown at the bottom of the picture (my car is manual, so will not have paddles). The areas of the wheel marked in red would have the yellow CF. The sides/grip areas I would do in black leather, not the yellow leather shown.

Collected my car today and took it for a spin down to Caffiene & Machine near Wellesbourne in Warwickshire. While I was getting these photos another Emira rocked up! Talk about good taste. :p

I've got to admit that Hethel Yellow has grown on my a lot since I first saw it in the flesh. It's such a gorgeous spec with the extended black pack. It's a shame that the Lotus badge yellow clashes with the paintwork - nothing a few OEM black badges can't fix.
