I'll add that LCOSC is famous for their 15 car run group cap, and running only 3 groups (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). That's right only 15 cars max at any time on the track and only 3 groups. The preceding essentially means an "all you can eat" track time day. Most other groups, run materially more than this.

I wish I had known about this. It's rare to see 15 cars and only 3 groups. It's usually 20+ cars in 4 groups. I am a new member of LCOSC but must not be paying attention in the places they talk about these things or I probably would of been all over it for this coming weekend for sure.

I didn't see any email or anything of the sort? Facebook group? Other?

Yes. And, answer below.

The POC is 2 races, usually 2 non-race run groups. Full sessions of 20 minutes plus. Very similar to everyone else. It's club racing so everything is really meant set up to support the races. However, it means far less traffic in the point by and open passing groups. I get lapped by GT cars but otherwise can often run the entire 20 minutes in the 2 through 4th sessions of the day after the cars are placed without lifting.

I am a just member and not an officer and I did the PDS series to allow me to move up. I can't say how strict they are on this and if you can skip over it. It's pretty professionally run IMO.

I want to be seen as being helpful to the group, but not make it sound like I am advertisign for the POC/getting too far off topic.

LCOSC posts pretty much everywhere. Check most Lotus specific Facebook groups, Instagram, LotusTalk and they even do email blasts on a regular basis to all registered members.

Hi all! Reviving an old thread. Just picked up my FE V6 Auto last week from Galpin. Sat through 1.5 hours of traffic with no AC back to the IE but it’s already one of my favorite cars I’ve owned!

Have to bring it back to service for the AC but I already purchased the 3rd cat delete and valve controller. Hoping to meet some of y’all in the community!

Congrats! Almost identical build as mine, just did the paperwork going through PPF.
A/C was one of the things I checked and asked on mine, but I only really had a few minutes with it before leaving it for PPF.

I've been reading through forums for over a year, there are posts about a new membrane part Lotus installs that helps prevent water drainage to damage the resistor pack. In the A/C not working thread water damage seems to be the cause.

My PPF installer took a pic of the opened hood/bonnet but not sure if membrane was installed (I think it's under the plastic bits you have to open up for service). People on here do say later builds should have it installed, but I don't think anyone had posted that it was.

Highly suggest contacting LCOSC (Lotus Club of SoCal). They recently had a HPDE at Streets of Willows and events scheduled at Buttonwillow's "The Circuit", Big Willow and the original Buttonwillow track #13 CW-direction.

Great group, car count is kept low. Events typically sell out.

Membership is not required, but encouraged.

Welcome! There’s a few of us here, but as far as I know, we haven’t actually put some kind of gathering on the books.

Hit me up when you have to bring your car back. I’m most likely the physically closest to Galpin.
