How many Emira owners in SoCal?

lol, I'll happen to be stopping by around there for lunch as part of weekend drive, but no Emira for me yet

Was great to see a bunch of emiras today. Nice to meet some of you. I forgot to take pics!

I saw Seneca, verdant green, osmium, nimbus, and vivid red out there.

We were cruisin' by saw verdant green following a mclaren :D ; still impatiently waiting for that dealer call o_O

Seriously, parking his Vivid Red while T6061's Osmium Silver and Balboa's Nimbus Grey spectate...great turn out! Six Emira's; Evora GT's, Elise, Exige, Elan, Seven and an Esprit were in attendance...

Nice! An Elan Sprint, Lotus 7, Exige, and caught a glimpse of an Esprit. Oh, and yes a nice assortment of Emiras! Jealous! Meanwhile we got rained out here for British Car day at Exotics at Redmond. Was happy to hear not a cancellation though, just postponed till next Saturday. If the weather holds up, I hope to have my own pics up soon!

White Espirt was cool. The owner took the engine cover off so we could see inside. I saw my first exige S in person. What a wild car with the air intake on the roof that feeds directly into the top of the engine. It occupies the entire space underneath the rear deck lid and looks nuts.

I lurked in the Lotus forums for years and always thought the Exige with the roof air intake was the shit! In those days I was torn between arctic silver and storm titanium…touring vs. sport…has anything changed in 25 years?

Wish I could have been there, to hang out with you guys, looks like it was a nice venue and intimate get together. Im concerned that Exotics at Redmond this weekend will be just too many cars and crowds for my liking. I’ve heard they attract hundreds of cars every weekend. In an environment like that the potential for idiots increases I fear. We’ll see!

Ditto (locked in June). Pinged for update last week and still said expected to arrive in Oct, but couldn't confirm if it entered production or not. I've not received any email directly from Lotus, so no in production e-mail nor VIN notification I've seen from other posts here. I only have the order confirmation email forwarded by the dealer at the time of lock-in.

I personally don't think we'll see our cars until December/January at the earliest :censored:
Just received the text from Lotus of San Diego - car has been invoiced and is on its way from Baltimore!! @grezex - any news?

Nice! I got an email from the dealer saying it's going into production this month, vin pending.

Fantastic news!! Exciting times ahead!! Will share ppf, service options, etc when I get the info.
Did they give you a vin and/or in-production notice prior to leaving factory and on a boat?

PPF - I only have experience with Elite Finish and Films Unlimited, though dealer said all their Astons are done at One of One down the street. Very interested in if they have a special deal with the dealer.

Are you planning a full PPF + all around tint?

No vin or notice…it was a nice surprise!

I’m probably gonna go with One of One since it’s the easiest logistics wise but will wait to see what the price is. I’m planning full PPF, ceramic and some tints (haven’t decided yet). Will keep you posted!

For all of you in the San Fernando Valley or great L.A. Area or even those that want to take a road trip, I am one of the organizers of County Line Cars and Coffee (Check us out on Instagram) and recently sold my 1968 Camaro and now the proud owner of an Emira. Yes quite the change! Our event is the second Saturday of each month with the next one taking place on November 9th. We get 200-300 cars each month ranging from Model A's to the newest models of Ferraris and Lambos, etc. Would be fun to get a large group of Emiras together and I am happy to save some spots so we could all park together! Drone photos included! :) DM me if you are interested in making the trip.

@slimjim did you end up taking delivery? I was at the grand opening event where a handful were delivered.

I just received my VIN, but wasn't on the delivery or built list , so hoping it's in mid-production 🙄
