I4 Delivery Date USA/Canada Updates

Picked mine up today! Was joined by a few other existing Emira owners - car pickups are more fun with friends!

They parked my car next to a nearly $900K spec Lambo haha.

Gator Motorsport informed me that lotus is not opening up i4 orders until 2026 in the USA. Just trying to confirm with anyone else.

I wonder why that is. What are they building/selling in the mean time?

Yes, my dealer confirmed same....helps remediate a bit of frustration with our 24s entering this year.

So... no 2025 MY I4 cars at all? Did they forget to file the emissions paperwork again?

I’m just curious if we will still have first editions for order in 2026. I was told by another dealer that they still have build slots for v6s so maybe 2025 is the year of the v6s?

I go back to my conversation with Galpin Lotus where they had heard rumors that the i4 could somehow turn into a ONE-YEAR run of this car. Given the ever-changing messages from Lotus I could definitely see this happening if they're not taking any orders for i4 in 2025. Just gives them enough time to completely shutdown the i4 altogether. See below from my post in the Delivery Thread in September:

The Emira i4 may turn out to be a ONE YEAR RUN meaning that the i4 FE 2024MY may be the only version we ever see. That's right, this one didn't make much sense to me, but I have no clue what could spark this kind of decision... maybe cost of the AMG engines/transmissions vs the Camry? maybe the fact that those costs turned the i4 FE's into a major loser for them financially since they couldn't justify further price increases? Either way this is huge if true for those of us that are waiting on what could now be a much more limited production car than expected. This also would make sense as to why Lotus opened the NA i4's to 400bhp as there would not be the mythical "Emira S" coming down the line opening the AMG engine up to its full potential.

Lotus management never makes sense…

that would be sad if true, I guess lotus doesn’t really want more customers and with the tariffs on their electric vehicles and Toyota not making the v6 anymore, the brand will be dead in the US

I'm glad my i4 is at Galpin and ready for pick up once I fly back stateside on Saturday. If true this would make the i4 more valuable than the V6 considering it's rarity. I was already on board with this variant because it was lighter and apparently more agile than the V6 from reviews on youtube (when it was ran on track vs road). Will be interesting to see if this will be true.

MIne have arrived at my dealer but we're experiencing rain that will continue for the next week so I probably won't pick it up till afterwards.. BTW, my dealer just sent this out:

I was just told by LOTUS that they are limiting production of the V6. We are assuming engines are dwindling. Because of this, THIS IS THE LAST MONTH TO ORDER A 2025 V6 EMIRA. I have until Feb 15 to place my orders.

This will come as a surprise to most of you, who were prepping to place an order later this year. Welcome to Lotus.

More iterations of the Emira might be in the future, including hybrid, for now we will only have the Base i4 AMG production to look forward to next year.

End of the V6, meaning end of the manual option, makes sense based on Toyota no longer manufacturing this engine for model year 2025.

No more I4 doesn't make any sense at all, what engine are they planning on using if the V6 is also dead? Let's wait for some solid information first before declaring all engines for the Emira as dead.
