Hi all, I'm working with a well known tuner to develop a tuning box for the M139 engine i4 Emira. My car is being trialled over the coming fortnight so I should hopefully have some further info and numbers to post up soon. It will be a plug and play solution, easily removable for routine dealer servicing, etc.

Please don't bother replying if you aren't interested and just want to rant about how 360bhp is more than enough and the world will end if we add some extra horsepower, etc.

On the basis the performance figures from the dyno are healthy and the tuning box is circa £400 can you please let me know if you would be potentially be interested in buying one on this thread. It would be nice for the tuner to know that there is a market for their product with i4 owners.

Thanks.

I'm definitely interested in this. Please keep me updated with all the info. A plug and play solution for me in Western Australia is going to be ideal as I doubt anybody here is going to be able to tune the ECU (once cracked) anyway.

Does a plug and play solution have the ability to remove engine codes due to this 'tune' and the downpipe and exhaust upgrade I have just done?

Yes...when you have more information love to know if it's a reflash, or like a Cobb, or a piggyback, etc. mostly interested in ability tune live with my local shop on their dyno, but base maps with known mods (intake, sports cat, exhaust) is great too for different fuel mixtures globally.

I am very interested in a plug and play HP boostfor my i4, do you happen know what the HP gainage will be with this ECU mod? Price sounds good to me.

Yes, very interested. I was told by another well known tuner that it may not be easy to fit one to the Emira, (that’s why they didn’t produce one for the A45S) because of with where the connections would be. Hopefully with the Emira engine being positioned differently, it will make accessing the connections possible.

Sounds like you may have spoken with JB4?

Definitely interested and by your description it sounds like a piggy back? If it is a piggy back then it might not be a DYI job for installation.
