I'm in - the buyers thread

Unless you desperately need the deposit back then keep it there as you have nothing to lose and may well get sent up the queue as other fall out due to rising costs and other changes of circumstances.

Bottom line though is to be prepared to wait.
Yes, people are dropping out, they always will, but there are a lot of others in the same boat and new orders every day.

Q2 24 does sound ridiculous though. Doesn't sound right for a V6 delay.

I am still 100% in. However, based on the delays, I am looking for something else. My GT4 deposit was cancelled because Porsche stopped producing them. I learned the Dark Horse Mustang will be a limited run so I might not get that either. Struggling to find something else I want. Are there two other people that want to go in 1/3 for a 300K GT4 RS? I see a few on Autotrader.

EDIT: I am looking for something else until the Emira arrives.

I had to look up to see what a Dark Horse Mustang is and it's pretty cool looking! 500HP too!

I've seen those $300k 4RS listings too. It's so ridiculous... Imagine paying $300k for a Cayman! Don't get me wrong.. I love GT4s and almost bought one. The 4RS is insane, but it's a $140k MSRP car and shouldn't be priced up there with Lambos, Ferraris, and McLarens. I'm ready for the world to go back to normal any time now. 🙃

And it's undrivable in the street...

Based on your reply, I assume you are a no for 1/3 GT4 RS :ROFLMAO:

Not sure this is the correct thread but here goes......I am currently still in with my deposit placed for a V6 FE (manual) in June 22. My current estimated production date has slipped to Q2 24. Does anyone know the extent of cancelled orders following the price increase and production delays, and the likihood of being offered a cancelled order for a similar spec car? I have seen a number of people who have had such an offer and advanced the queue and taken delivery recently. Ever hopeful!
You’re in the right thread. I might copy this into the order-to-delivery process thread too.

If you’re open to taking a cancellation then it’s worth talking to LCC and explaining what you’d be prepared to accept in terms of differences from your current order. They have a formula on what counts as “similar” and who they offer cancellations to. If you’re flexible on several aspects you may increase your chances. Good luck!

Thanks Tom. I have an email with LCC awaiting a response and have said I would be flexible if a cancelled order came my way.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if I was #1 or #2 in my dealer's queue at this point.

My November 21 deposit is scheduled for Q2 24 delivery! 2.5 years😭😭😭😭

I am most certainly in, check out is completed. I order the morning of 8th July before the Goodwood rush.

Got my check out email on 8th Feb :)
Interesting, I placed my deposit on the morning of the 8th at Goodwood and got my checkout email on 8th February as well. At least there seems some consistency there! 👍

Any sign of a collection date? I only checked out last Tuesday
Just waiting on the call to arrange either collection or delivery, have not made my mind up yet. Torn between the factory for the added glitz or local dealer so I can just get it and start driving

Didn't you have to select that at checkout? I did. I've gone for factory pick up. Definitely merits for either option

No I did not make a selection so when agreeing payment process they said not to worry as they would agree either at the final payment stage.

Is it quicker to pick it up from them? Will I have to wait weeks/a month for them to bring it to Bristol? I’ll just get the train and some Ubers else

I think its a lottery either way, as I understand it it still leaves the factory for its pdi the goes back for collection 🤦
