Insurance

I think State Farm gave me that $6500 quote. It's a free for all market here... Also depends where you live in the Bay.

And... I just checked my quotes again to find out I was wrong...
Allstate was the winner here with $9300 for 6 months!!
This with zero traffic violations, no insurance claims in the past 10 years, and many years as a driver. Just ridiculous 😂
Some companies just don't want our business. Those are "go away don't talk to me" prices.

Allstate actually told me they won't insure anyone who hasn't been with their current company for more than 3 years. So much for getting new customers. AAA came through for me at the end with something that's at least reasonable.

Don't forget that most national carriers have drastically different prices per state for those of us in the US. I got the most reasonable quote of $1346/year from AAA here in Tennessee (Auto Club South) for 100/300/100 after my normal carrier Erie gave me an absolutely laughable quote.

AllState was my client for a hot minute - they sold their headquarters to a warehouse builder, and have moved away from serving a couple of states for insurance. They don't seem to be doing well financially.

I just tried and Progressive has the Emira in their system. It may be because we already have six cars and five drivers with them, and I live in Boise, but our policy only went up $300 for six months. Great news for me!

By the way, my salesman sent me a teaser photo while it is in dealer prep. I can't pick it up until next month, so the next three weeks will feel like an eternity!View attachment 57630View attachment 57631
The wait is torture but the pain is instantly replaced with euphoria the moment you hold the key. By the way, which dealer are you buying from?
