Japan - Shipping and Delivery (輸送中エミーラ目撃情報)

The car was scheduled to be delivered in June, but it will be in July.
We were told that there was a problem with TPMS.
Maybe they did not get the Japanese technical certification mark.

It is unfortunate that the delivery will be delayed, but there is one good news.
It seems that some dealer demo cars are probably included in the initial lot.
Perhaps you can test drive one before August.

I had thought that the TPMS sensors were the same as the previous cars, hence no new certifications required... Oh well. Just hoping it all gets sorted out.
勝手に従来車種と同じものを使っているのかと思い込んでました。一つひとつ片付いていくことを祈ります。

And there is already 1 car with license plate so I don’t think there should be any regulations related issue.

Maybe dealer just feeding us BS all the time….. they even don’t know the actual status , I have to call my dealer every month to find out the car is getting delayed again and again with some vague reasons

Looks like only 2 lotus competed registration during June , meaning that the original June customer delivery is delayed again . At this point I’m fed up asking dealer about the updates , let’s just forget about this so I will feel faster lol

Thank you for the information.
We could say “maximum” 2 Emiras are on the way, yay!🥹

I heard from my dealer; LCI is also fed up with the issues, so they chose to speak up to LOTUS.
I can understand you, but most of problems are not because of LCI, so be nice to them😊

I missed one...

The "MORNING CAMILLA" which had left SOUTHAMPTON, UK on 2023-06-13 is now en route from MCID, China to Japan. After a stop at TOYOHASHI, the vessel will dock at YOKOHAMA on 2023-07-22. All imported cars go thru YOKOHAMA, so the stop at TOYOHASHI is probably only to load Toyota vehicles for export.

Along with the previously noted arrival of the "MORNING CAROL" on 2023-07-23, next weekend may be a great time to visit Daikoku docks at the port of Yokohama.

Don't recall a DV included in the first batch of (was it 15?) Cars spotted at Daikoku, did we miss a shipment fall through the cracks or could it be this DV is possibly the one that was displayed at Harajuku and is now legal to drive with plates??

The one in Harajuku was already registered in the UK and did not have full black pack, so probably a different car. We only saw pictures of the partial shipment of an estimated 19 back in April, so it could be one of them. It can also be something we missed. 🤷‍♂️

It seems the crashed Emira in the second photo is a ‘LOTUS NYO’ which means it is from the Chinese market. Wonder if it is repairable?
