Komo-Tec power phase released for V6 Emira

I'm okay with mods up to the point where it starts requiring special fuel...

Not sure I would call 93 AKI "special fuel", it's just predominantly more readily available on the east side of the US than it is the western side. Higher octane fuel up in the 93 AKI is going to be a requirement for basically any sort of remapping to extract more power.

Oh, right, we have plenty of 93 octane around where I am. I would not consider 93 "special".

Komo-Tec with his test-mule, Öhlins TTX equipped and also fitted with power upgrade to 460hp.

I'm actually quite surprised by how much the driver's seat is moving around. Clearly there's more flex in that thing than I would have assumed from seeing the cast frame in the build photos.

Caused by the excessive airflow through his pants. Y'all have to buy his stuff and help him get a new pair.

So...anyone in the US able to install this yet? Curious also as to if it is worth it for the 430HP tune. And if it can be easily reversed.

Plus here in CA it's a pain to have to reverse these for smog testing.
Jubu Syvecs or nothing. 91 octane option. Pricey though.

I would get it simply for the 7200 rpm red line raise. The critical flaw of Emira is not it's lack of HP but that it gives up flow and driveability on track due to gearing and 6800 cutoff.

My workshop is working a mine ; to instal the JUBU 460+ Kit ; I did a trial on track last saturday with already the Headers 3/1 + Y 2/1 + Sport catalyst ; and whaoo :) just perfect sounds. (I put the video on the VIDEO part of this forum)
Full stock on the Dyno = 400HP
In the next days ; the dyno test with the exhaust and at least with the full kit ...

460 kits seems to be a nice pick

Yes me too. 440 should be plenty and still balanced for the chassis without giving up too much reliability given 430 was...430 HP lol

I couldn’t even run this these tunes — requires 93 octane AKI.
That’s a shame you can’t buy 98, so does that mean you get less than the stated 400hp?”
I wonder if anyone in the US has used E85 with a V6 because that is the magic dust as far as cooling.
I’m lucky our local station just changed to Esso who supply 100.

It’s a hot debate on what can be detected or not. You can add a map and revert back but it will always show that has been done and Lotus have a record of the updates/flashes and will know if it’s official or not.
The other issue is the ecu saves data that never gets erased after an update like max boost pressure for deep fault finding in case of engine failure to decide if the warranty covers it or not.
The JUBU 440 s as nd above upgrades all use a Syvecs ecu swap which is a simple unplug and the old ecu can be refilled with no history of max boost increases etc. now time will tell if they can tell if the old ecu was discontinued but I’m sure it’s no different to not using it for ages and the battery being dead.
Hopefully we will get feedback from owners who fit both offerings but nothing is guaranteed.
I’d do an upgrade but stuck with the paint blistering at the moment.

Me too. I've been waiting six months for a new door now. What would they do if the car had been in an accident and needed parts for repair?
That's shocking. I wonder if they would be quicker if it was an insurance job where:
a. Lotus are getting paid for the door
b. The car is undriveable until it's replaced

It feels like they see cosmetic warranty as the lowest priority of all :(

I've been told that the next batch of doors being released by Lotus will be the end of May, hopefully I'll get one otherwise I'm going to contact everyone I can and kick off. It shouldn't take 7 months (by that point) for a recognised defect.

Different rating system.

98 RON = 93 AKI

AKI = (RON+MON)/2

Maybe they hadn't solved the defect until now?
